  • Organization and Earbuds!

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

Thank you immensely for your generous contribution to my sixth grade English/Language Arts students. Your donation has made a drastic impact on my ability provide an equitable education to my students. Every student in my class has recurved their own classroom folder. I allowed them to express themselves by decorating the front. Students are able to keep all needed papers in the folder. This includes graphic organizers, writing samples, and other items that can be used as resources.

Additionally, my students who are learning English as a Second Language have been provided headphones so that they are able to access content more effectively.

Thank you so much for the impact you have left on my classroom.”

  • Cardstock & Colored Pencils!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you for your contribution too my classroom. The items from this project have already made a difference for my students this year.

We have used the colored pencils for several different assignments including identity maps, a Greek Myth project, an argument activity, and a postcard project.

I've seen a great deal of engagement in my classroom thanks to the items funded by this project.

My students don it typically feel confident in their writing skills, but when given the opportunity to complete an activity that seems less intimidating, the students feel more empowered and are able to really show their skills.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

  • Classroom Basics for Engagement!

    Funded Jul 31, 2023

I am tremendously thankful for your kindness, compassion, and generosity. Without caring people like you, many students would not receive such equitable and necessary resources toward their education. My students have benefitted greatly and will continue to benefit throughout the school year. The materials have been used for organization as well as motivation. Recently, we used the whiteboard erasers to practice writing using our dry erase wall. My students have also enjoyed using the post it pad for whole class writing practice. We utilize the pencils and paper every day. Thank you so much.”

  • Focus and Organization

    Funded Jul 23, 2023

Thank you so much for your contribution to my classroom and my students. Your generosity has lead to an excellent start to the school year. We utilize our materials daily. Each of my students has their own folder, which they were able to customize with positive character traits to describe themselves, and we keep our materials in the classroom inside of our folders. The students have built routines and have really practiced their organizational skills. Several students used their materials to study hard and earn A/B honor roll for the first quarter.”

  • Supplies, Snacks, and (Sur)-prizes for Low-Income Students!

    Funded Jul 30, 2022

Thank you for your incredibly generous contribution to our classroom. The materials provided through this project have helped build community, encourage positive behavior, and increase learning in our classroom.

Though I did receive the donations prior to the school year beginning, I did discuss where the supplies came from with my students. Students were excited to know that people in the community care about them and want them to be successful. They have been very motivated by the behavior rewards, and all students have benefitted from that so far.

In addition, I was able to build a supply drawer with things my students may need, but cannot easily access, such as binders, headphones, notebooks, pencil pouches, and other needed supplies.

We are so very thankful for your generosity.”

  • Filling the Gap in a Struggling School

    Funded Oct 24, 2019

The resources gained through your contributions have had a lasting impact on my classroom. Students have learned valuable social-emotional skills, gained academic knowledge, and received access to materials they may have otherwise not had access to. These resources were largely reusable and have positively impacted approximately 400 students so far. These are materials and resources that I would not have been able to provide out of pocket, and that my students would not have had without your generous donations. Thank you so much for what you have done for my students.”

    With gratitude,

I am a first year teacher. I have some supplies stocked up from my own personal school supply shopping over the years, but sadly, I cannot afford to purchase everything I need to meet my classroom goals. I want my students to feel a sense of comfort and community within my classroom. I held a long-term substitute position in this school for three months at the end of last school year, and I have seen the challenges that these students face. My students need to know that their teacher cares about them in order for them to feel motivated toward their educational goals, this is why I am attempting to implement flexible seating. I also know that my students are not kids that can sit still and learn in "traditional" note-taking methods. They need hands on ways to really learn. I realize that I am asking for a lot, and I do not expect that my project will be fully funded because of that,I am simply hoping that I can receive even just a little bit of assistance in founding my very first classroom so that my students can reap the benefits.
