  • Refresh and Reset

    Funded May 16, 2023

What a great gift at the end of the school year. After 115 hands use materials in my classroom everyday you can imagine that it takes a toll on my materials. These were all things that we immediately put to use in the classroom. My students were greatly appreciative of the materials and glad that we were able to get some nice new things for our classroom.

All of these items are ones that we use on a daily basis and we were quickly running out of at the end of the year. This little classroom refresh was just what we needed to help finish out the year strong.”

  • Art Supply Refresh

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you for your donations to this project. Through these donations we were able to produce wonderful banners for our Greek unit. Students used the products to present banners teaching the others in their class about a city state that they were assigned from Ancient Greece. I loved seeing them use their creative juices to complete. They had to create slogans, pictures of their patron gods and what their city state was once known for.

Do to their excitement with this project I am planning on doing something like this for our incoming Rome unit as well.”

  • Family Resource Center Supplies

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Our FRYSC leader would like for me to thank all of you for the donations to fill her supplies. These are all supplies that we go through quite quickly in a middle school and females are always embarrassed to ask or are worried about what others know. This allows for us to provide these feminine supplies to students are not always prepared for the changes their bodies are going through. Also parents are not always able to come at a drop of the hat to provide these or to take students home.

Thanks again for providing these supplies to our FRYSC center.”

  • Basic Supplies to Make the Day Run Smoothly

    Funded Oct 27, 2022

Thank you so much for your donations to our classroom. Every year I try to refresh many of our basic supplies to make it more financial feasible for students and parents to feel prepared for the school year. By having these supplies to share it makes it easier to do more projects and hands on learning activities in our classroom. When students don't have to worry that they forgot a pencil or need a highlighter for class it helps them to feel successful and not as stressed so they are ready to learn.

Thanks again for helping make this project a reality.”

  • Rewards to Spark a Glow in Students

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you so much for helping with this project. It has been such a joy to do this activity with students. I used the materials for a rewards day at the end of the school year and they students were so excited to participate. Then this summer I helped teach summer school and did some team building activities using these supplies. Again the students were eager to participate and worked well together getting to know each other before their transition to middle school.

As the weather is getting colder here in KY as a team we are looking forward to using these materials for reward and Team days when we are no longer able to go outside.

Again thank you for giving to this project.”

  • Fill the Rewards Pantry

    Funded Oct 19, 2021

Thank you so much for your support of this project. With not being in person for so long due to COVID our shelves were bare with little to know basic supplies to start the school year. With your support we were able to provide most of the basic supplies needed for our students to start the school year. This was a relief for not only my students but also myself to make this year back in person as normal as possible and with hopefully less anxiety.

We continue to use these supplies and I have had plenty to help with new students who have enrolled throughout the school year.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Randolph

When I was just a student teacher, I was lucky enough to be placed with a wonderful cooperating teacher who I learned so much from. I already loved history, but being with her, I learned that everything doesn't have to be done from a textbook, and when you can give your student's an experience, that is what they will remember for years to come. Now I have been teaching World Civilization for about 7 years. I love teaching my students about the past and showing them how it mirrors the times we are in. We learn about the past in various ways, through technology, activities, and class discussions. Most people will shy away from middle-schoolers but it is such an intriguing part of their development. You see them come into their own and really cherish the moments when they succeed and have challenged themselves.
