My classes include the health care providers of tomorrow. I teach a variety of students in my science classes. I teach a required 10th grade biology / life science course as well as an elective AP Biology course for 11th and 12th graders and an elective anatomy & physiology course for 10th-12th graders. My goal is to make the course as relevant as possible by giving them real-world experiences; what could be better than giving them a strong background in their own human anatomy and physiology? Many of my students express an interest in a health care career; there are many who want to be physicians, but I also have a lot of students who plan to go to the tech college to pursue nursing careers. I think it's important for me to prepare them as best I can for "the real world" and their future career / educational plans.
