Funded Apr 7, 2025This classroom project was brought to life by Optimum and 2 other donors.Flexible Seating to Achieve Success
Funded Aug 15, 2024Thank you so much for your donation to our 4th grade classroom. Your donation will help support flexible seating in our classroom. They are in an area that is easily accessible and readily available for any student that needs to use them throughout the day. The students were very excited to receive the portable lap desks and were very eager to begin using them in the classroom.
The students enjoy using the lap desks in class. During instruction, students will use the lap desks to sit on the floor during lessons. They also use them during small group work and projects to collaborate and have discussions on the floor around the room. They love having the opportunity to sit in other seating other than their desk and chair. It also provides support for students who are writing while sitting on the floor. Instead of bending over to write in their books on the floor, they now can sit up straight and complete their work on their lap desk.
Again, thank you so much for you support and donation. We appreciate your generosity and our class is very thankful to have received this amazing contribution to our classroom.”

Funded Aug 3, 2023Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. The students and I are truly grateful. The students were absolutely thrilled when our project got funded and we received the materials.
The storage cart for the students is named the "Student Station". Here the students can access resources and materials that they need throughout the day, such as scratch paper, pencils, writing materials, band aids, and multiplication charts. They are able to independently go to the cart to find the materials they need to be successful throughout the day in our classroom. They are learning not only independence, but responsibility. The other storage cart is used to organize my weekly lessons and copies, as well as store papers and tests that need to be graded, filed, or passed out. These resources have helped support better teacher and student organization in the classroom to make day-to-day routines and tasks run smoothly and more efficiently in our classroom.
Again, thank you for your generosity and kindness. We greatly appreciate this wonderful addition to our classroom!”

Funded Jun 29, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. The students were very surprised and excited to receive the supplies that your donation provided. The easel, whiteboard markers, and eraser are perfect for small group instruction in both language arts and math. The students love when information and steps are color coded, so the diverse whiteboard marker colors are perfect for their understanding of concepts. The students utilize the clipboards for small group work when on the carpet and when copying from the board on the carpet.
Again, thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. This donation truly supports all students in our classroom and makes learning more engaging and fun.”

Printer with a Purpose
Funded Apr 27, 2023Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our classroom. The printer has been a great addition to our classroom instruction. The students have used the printer for many different projects. They are able to print out reports and writing assignments that they proudly display on the writing corner bulletin board. They also print out activities throughout the day to complete. This year, they were also able to print out the binder tabs for their Leader in Me binders so that they could easily label and assemble their leadership binders, in which they track their learning progress and goals.
The printer has also served a great use for myself as a teacher. I am able to make extra copies of assignments and activities for students quickly. I do not have to go to the main copier or ask the office for extra copies during instruction. It saves a lot of time and is very convenient.
Again, thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. The students and I greatly appreciate your donation and will continue to use the printer to assist our classroom learning.”

Funded Oct 1, 2021Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Our classroom instruction and student engagement has been greatly elevated due to your wonderful donation. The students utilize the white boards, erasers and markers during both whole group and small group instruction. For example, as a whole class, we use the white boards to practice our spelling words and math facts through games. Also, during small group instruction students utilize the materials to practice language skills and math problems. They are able to independently use the materials to practice and master material learned in class during whole group lessons.
When the students first saw the materials, they were very excited that they received brand new materials that were specifically for them. They were happy to replace the very old and worn out white boards. Each table has a caddy in which the table leaders organize and store the student's white boards, erasers, markers and other materials. They take great pride in caring for their materials. They truly enjoy utilizing the whiteboards and are more engaged during class time.
My students and I cannot wait to continue to use the materials to participate in more class activities that will enhance their understanding of various concepts in creative and fun ways to advance their mastery of the various subject areas.”

Funded Oct 23, 2019Thank you so much for the donation that has provided my first grade students with a better learning environment and materials to promote their education and success within the classroom. Your generosity and kindness is greatly appreciated by me and my students. When my students first saw the materials, they could not believe that all of these donated materials were for them. The smiles on their faces and their excitement for learning brought me such joy and happiness.
The materials have greatly supported instruction and student growth this year. The primary pencils with erasers have supported student's fine motor skills by developing their writing skills. The pencils are used throughout the day to write in Math, Language Arts, Writing and other subjects. The erasers on the pencils have also been great to teach the students that it is alright to make mistakes because that is how we learn and grow. The laminator and heavy duty stapler have allowed me to make anchor charts and resources for my students that will last. Also, I am able to use the stapler to make resource packets for my students and parents. At the beginning of the school year, I did not have chairs for my small group table. Each student would have to haul their chair to the table during their group time. Now, with the wobble chairs, students can easily transition from their desk to the table for small group instruction. The ability to adjust the chairs also supports all my students of various heights. They also enjoy the wiggling in the chairs and always state that they feel like "big kids" in the chairs. The pocket chart and pocket chart holder serve several purposes. During whole group instruction, I can place sentence strips and high frequency words for easy display during a lesson. Before, I had to use magnets on the board to hold them. This saves time during instruction, but the pocket chart also provides a large visual for students to support their writing and reading. During small group instruction, I can use the pocket chart to teach word families, phonics and writing. It allows me to display content more easily and quickly, but also allows me to manipulate the position of words and sentences to teach students how to do word sorts or how to correctly write sentences. The black cart supports me as a teacher because it holds all my instruction materials, such as markers, dry erase board markers, sentence strips and index cards. It can easily be moved from the front of the classroom during whole group instruction to the back table for small group instruction. The cart allows my teaching materials to be mobile and enables me to move around the classroom to support my students' learning needs throughout the day. The binder dividers are for the students Leader in Me binders. This program teaches the students leadership skills and how to support their own growth and development. The students use the dividers to easily create sections in their Leadership Binder: My Self, My Goals, My WIGs, My Jobs, and My Celebrations. The students set a goal, track their progress, reflect on their growth and celebrate their successes. All the materials donated have greatly improved instruction and provided more opportunities for my students to learn and grow.
There are many things that I wish to accomplish in the future using the materials donated. I would like to utilize the materials to create more engaging lessons that allow students to actively participate in learning and engage in instruction. I would like to create discovery centers that directly enable students to take hold of their own learning and discover the amazing world around them through exploration and investigation. Using the materials, I would love to allow students to work together and collaborate to support each other's learning and help each other expand their knowledge. They learn best from each other. The materials you have donated provide my students with a great learning experience that they can access in the classroom that will support their education all year and create an instructional environment that is safe, engaging, supportive and developmentally appropriate. I cannot express enough gratitude for your generosity and support. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. My students and I greatly appreciate your kindness.”

Mrs. Morales
