Funded Feb 8, 2023I can't tell you how excited and appreciative I am for all of you and the support you have to this project. If I am being honest, this has been a dream for the last 15 years I have been teaching. There are so many kids who just need a place to reset and calm down with support on how to do so. This was just something I never thought I would finally see turned into a reality and it is all because of you. Thank you just doesn't do it justice. You all are amazing!”

Funded Mar 27, 2018My students are in love with their new retelling center! The felt pieces have been a perfect addition to this station. Students go to this station daily to use those pieces to retell familiar stories that we have read in the classroom. Stories like, The Little Red Hen, The Three Little Pigs, The Kissing Hand, No David, and more. It is delightful to hear them giving life to the characters while they reread the stories and use the pieces and puppets to retell the events. You have definitely brightened up our classroom and strengthened my young readers! Thank you never seems like enough!”

Funded Mar 19, 2018I can not express enough thanks for the amazing CD player, headphones, and Cd's. My students LOVED the headphones! Our old headphones were too big for their heads, were missing cushion pieces, and had adjustable volume controls which always resulted in confusion and an inability to hear the stories correctly, and most of them just no longer worked. These headphones were the perfect size for young children. They fit perfectly! The ear covers are very soft and I never heard another complaint about their heads or ears hurting. They remained at one volume, so they could always hear the stories right away. The headphone rack kept them from getting tangled, so students could immediately put on the headphones and listen to all the amazing stories! The boys loved the star wars stories and they were all a huge fan of the Pixar movie series. Thank you so much for continuing to grow my young readers!”

Funded Oct 10, 2016Thank you so much for your generous donations to support our classroom light table and blocks! They were a HUGE hit. It is one of the most loved stations now. When we just had the home made light table, no one wanted to explore, but now with the actual table, the changing and fading lights, it has become one of the most popular stations in the room. The students love building with the blocks on top of the table and I love seeing all of their wonderful creations. We are excited to explore what happens to primary colors when we put them on the different color lights. I can't thank you enough for sparking excitement and a love for exploration in my classroom!”

Funded Dec 4, 2015Thank you so much for the amazing STEM materials! I think my students have been the most excited about the marble runs! They are fascinated by trying to build the tallest marble run that will stand and watching what happens. We are also about to put them in our water exploration station to observe the flow of water! The builder set is great! The students loved using the real tools to tighten lug nuts, pound nails, and build creations of all shapes and sizes. These building materials are especially nice because the creations can also move up and down, side to side, and roll. I am always grateful for the generosity of others! Thank you again for your support!”

STEM-azing Centers Part 2
Funded Aug 15, 2015My students love the materials! The story telling STEM stations are amazing! The students have a chance to retell the familiar story with the story board and characters and then design and build a solution to the problem. The bristle builders were amazing in our unit on airplanes and positional words and I know they will come in handy as we move on to motion and transportation. The snap builders have really sparked their creativity during our morning building time. Students love exploring with the gears and seeing how they work together. Thank you for your generosity and bringing excitement to our room!”

STEM-azing Centers Part 1
Funded Aug 21, 2015My students LOVE the materials! The students use the magnetic board for not just STEM centers, but also for Literacy Stations. Students love manipulating the gears and finding out how they work together. In the future, they will also be able to use the board for designing a roller coaster too! The students have been able to explore the house and bridge STEM building sets. These sets have helped them not only build their spatial reasoning, but also have helped them understand basic structures. I love the excitement and the learning that is happening thanks to your generosity!”

Ready, Set, Write!
Funded Aug 24, 2014I can't thank you all enough for contributing to this project! I have some very prolific young authors and the materials you provided by supporting "Ready, Set, Write!" have been invaluable! My students love having an endless supply of books to open up and start writing. They love all of the markers (especially the Mr. Scent smell good ones), crayons, and colored pencils. Having the automatic pencil sharpener has come in handy too! It is very easy for them to operate and keep their thoughts flowing on the paper. Thank you all again for continuing to support my young authors! You all are amazing!”

Funded May 27, 2014I am so grateful to you all for helping me add to my TAG reader library! This center remains one of the most popular in the room. My kids love getting cozy and listening to wonderful and familiar books in the TAG series. It also remains popular because wonderful people like yourselves continue to support our classroom and provide new TAG books in the center which keeps it fresh, exciting, and new. I consider teaching a love for reading one of my main objectives in kindergarten and because of you and the TAG reader books, I feel like I am accomplishing that goal and setting my students up for a life-long love of reading!”
