Art Folders
Funded Jan 21, 2024Thank you so much for your donation to this project, we are truly blessed knowing that others out there support the Arts and our young artists as well. My artists range from 3 to 11 years old and each and everyone of them enjoys art class, especially when painting.
Supplies are essential when teaching art to almost 400 students weekly and always need replenishing, hence this is why donors choose is so important to us and we absolutely love them!
We are super excited to use the supplies for our current and future projects. Once again thank you so much for your donation. Please follow us on Instagram @elenisartists and scroll through all of our amazing art work!”

Funded Nov 27, 2023Thank you so much for all of your donations. Supplies are are so important in our art class and we are so blessed to have this project come to life.
We love to use oil pastels and paint to complete our masterpieces. They are so much brighter and colorful, they look amazing! (A few of my Artists also take supplies home so they can complete a project and I'm so lucky to have more than enough paint and oil pastels to provide them with.)
Thank you for helping us fund such an amazing project. Please follow us on Instagram @elenisartists to see all the amazing work our students create.”

Art Carts
Funded Sep 18, 2023Happy New Year to you and your families. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my vision for our art room come true. I am blessed to have such wonderful people in my life who truly care about the children the ARTS and us teachers too. I can not thank you enough for your donation to our Steinway Elementary Art Classroom. You have helped me house an Art room in a library with these awesome heavy duty carts. Not only are they easy to roll around the room but such wonderful space savers too. They hold an abundance of art supplies an artist might need to create art with. From scissors and glue to paint, paint brushes, oil pastels, paper and even tissue boxes too. With your donation you have helped me create an amazing Art Room. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!”

Cozy Carpet
Funded Feb 8, 2023I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all of you for supporting our Pre-K project. We are blessed to have special people like you, who care and support their children's teachers and classmates. We are absolutely in love with the rugs and have been using them daily during our morning meetings and playtime at the centers. They are colorful and cozy, just as we expected.
Please continue to support our projects and your children's future teachers and their projects. It takes a village to teach little minds and we are blessed to have you all as a part of our village.”

Artsy Craftsy
Funded Apr 27, 2021Thank you so much for making this project possible for my fantastic students. We received our project materials towards the end of June. The plan was to hook up the cricut to a laptop and begin the projects in September. Sadly, due to a laptop shortage and the social distancing mandates of COVID-19 and on to of it all not having an art room because of the limited space in the building, we were not able to begin any of our projects. I'm sure my artists will be extatic to create masterpieces once I am back in the building and continue our artwork. Thank you so much for the support and to know that so many people supported us in funding our project is a blessing.”

Art Kit Fun at Home
Funded Dec 2, 2020Thank you for funding this project. Throughout the year I post numerous art projects filled with supplies for my Artists and art room. This year was especially difficult for us since there was no funding for the ARTS and so supplies were crucial. Thanks to you, my Artists received their Art supplies and were thrilled! It was Christmas in June in our school. Art supplies are essential in Art and they dissappear quite fast especially when used to supply a whole school population two or three times a week throughout the year. My dream was to create an art room where we don't have to worry about markers, paint, crayons or paper running out during class. By funding this project not only did you help my students but our art room as well for the upcoming school year. I can not wait to share everything with my Artists and create new memories. God bless you all! Have an amazing summer!.”

Funded Dec 1, 2020Thank you for your donations! We have created so many fun art projects, from Faith Ringgold Story Quilts, to Matisse beautiful Scissor Art, to unique Pablo Picasso Self Portraits. Having these supplies has been a blessing especially when there was zero funding this year for art materials. Materials are essential in every art classroom. Hundreds of students use them during the week and having an ample supply surely makes a difference. Thank you for your love and generosity, it is greatly appreciated. God Bless!”

Funded Dec 31, 2019Our 5th Grade Artists are super excited to be able to use the Copics for all our special projects. At the moment we are working on a class mural inspired by Kelsey Montague. The project is about all the things that inspire us. My students were in shock when they heard that our project was fully funded, they couldn't believe it and were eager to use them right away. After this project has been completed we will be using the markers for our final 5th Grade Graduation project on creating silhouettes.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018We are super excited in Art class this Spring. Artists have a whole lot of paint to work with and this time around we have enough blue paint and blue pastels for Starry Night, and our Earth Day projects. We painted Starry Night projects inspired by Vincent van Gogh, and used all different shades of blue without worrying that we might run out paint. We created Mother's Day cards and painted Spring flowers. We participated in a school wide Earth Day Art Contest held by Senator Michael Gianaris and displayed our work with pride! We are very thankful for all the art materials we received !
My students were as excited as I was the morning we discovered our project was funded. We screamed, jumped and danced around as if we had just won the lottery. Christmas morning in Art at PS84 The Steinway School! They all loved the new materials especially the organization bins and all the new pencils, erasers, markers, colored pencils and sparkly paint.
For our next project I would like to paint a school mural, where each and everyone of my Artists will participate and be a part of. I would also like to create something like a mini hallmark store in our school, where students can choose cards painted by school artists for their family members and for other special occasions, all for FREE!
Once again, I would like to take this opportunity to say a personal thank you for your donation and for helping my Artists bring their imaginations to life! We are truly blessed!”

Ms. Eleni Gerasimou
