Headphones for Everyone!
Funded Oct 20, 2023Thank you for the set of headphones. My students use these headphones regularly when they go on various learning websites. These headphones are an asset to the classroom because it helps them through the learning process. I have many English Language Learners in my classroom and the headphones definitely assist in their learning by them being able to listen to the content and questions read to them.
Additionally, since each student has their own headphones, we can keep the transfer of germs to a minimum. Each headphone is stored in a labeled clear baggie so they know exactly which is theirs. We will have these headphones for a long time and they are an invaluable tool to our classroom.
Thank you again.”

Funded Sep 26, 2021Thank you for your donation of copy paper, pencils, baskets, and laminating sheets. These resources help our day of learning go smoothly and effectively. Everyone loves a freshly sharpened pencil. The pre-sharpened pencils are used daily for classroom assignments and homework.
The copy paper is also used on daily basis when I make class sets of photo copies of graphic organizers or packets of test preparation materials.
As for the book baskets, it helps to make my classroom library more organized and inviting. I use the book baskets to display my classroom library by level so the students know exactly where to find the book of their interest/reading level. As for the laminating sheets, they allow me to present and preserve some of the student's best work.”

Funded Sep 18, 2020Having a new dry erase easel allows me to teach my students using various strategies. I can visually show them multiple ways to solve problems. Visual representation is so important for students to really understand the skill being taught or presented.
Some of my students have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Those students rely heavily on what I write on the dry erase board and it focuses their attention on me and not the things around them. The different colors markers also helps as well so I can draw their attention to specific areas of the dry erase easel.
Having a dry erase easel is such a valuable resource to have. Thank you again for your generous donation.”

Funded Nov 16, 2018Thank you for the HP Sproket printer. It allows me to print out pictures of projects we do in the classroom for all to see. We did a 100th day project where the students had to link together 100 pieces of paper and whichever group had the longest chain won. Since it was hard to actually display the project because of space purposes, I was able to take and print out pictures to show the rest of the school what we had done. This is just one example of how the HP sprocket comes in handy. I print out pictures daily of science projects and math activities the students do all the time. It's nice when visitors come to my classroom and see the students engaged in lessons through these photographs.”

Funded Mar 27, 2018My students and I are so grateful for your generous donation of the wipe off boards, dry erase markers, and mini erasers. We have learned so much using these valuable resources. They specifically come in handy when we are learning math. After I teach a specific skills such as addition with regrouping, I can ask the students to do one example on the wipe off board to see if they demonstrate full understanding of the skill. If they get the answer correct, I know that they got it and are ready to practice more problems like that on their own. However, if they get that example incorrect, I know that I need to sit with them to give that child more guided instruction to ensure understanding of the skill next time.”

Funded Feb 9, 2017Thank you for the jumbo crayons. The students love coloring and drawing with them. They are easy for their little hands to hold. They use the crayons for all the subjects. When a crayon breaks or is lost they get so sad. Luckily, I can replace the crayons for them. Crayons really enhance their work and allow them to really create amazing pieces. The students are so happy to have these crayons. Since we are in kindergarten, we color almost everything we do in class. They just love sharing their great work with each other.”

My students were so excited to see all the imaginative play materials we received because of your kind and generous donations to my classroom project. Listen to This!
Funded Sep 27, 2016I am truly thankful and grateful for your generous donation. The listening center has been the center of our reading time. The children love listening to books on tape. Some children prefer a book on tape to reading a book themselves simply because they aren't fluent readers yet.
The listening center gives the students confidence to read and explore books on their own. They are able to now have conversations about books that they cannot read themselves just yet. Although, they are kindergartners, they having growing minds that always want to know things.
The children love going to the listening center on a daily basis. They love reading time even more because of it. Thank you again. It really has such a positive impact on my students.”

Sharpen My Pencils Please
Funded Jun 12, 2011Thank you greatly for the pencil sharpeners. They are a great asset to my classroom. My students always have a sharpened pencil to write with. In addition, I always have sharpened pencils to give them when they do not have one. The students also gain independence when they sharpen their own pencil. We even have rules for the pencil sharpener. As a classroom reward, the students are allowed to sharpen their classmates pencils. Thank you again for helping me have prepared students every day. ”
