  • Art Is the Best Medicine!

    Funded Aug 13, 2023

All my students have enjoyed greatly the art supplies and easel. Kid's from all walks of life have used these supplies for a big of therapeutic relief. I think the easel is probably the favorite. When I have a student who is feeling out of sorts or needs some alone time, they can use the easel and have some time to refresh and sort out their emotions.

They love the giant crayons for their little hands...every day another students asks me where I got them because they love them. They are the perfect size. We use them every day with art projects or just coloring.

We will be using the drying rack next week when we make our fall leaves and again in December for our Snowflakes. The Emotional impact of this gift is seen every day!

Your gift is used all the time and greatly appreciated!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jackson's Library

  • Express Yourself!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

My Students have greatly enjoyed writing their feelings down and learning to understand and express them in a healthy way! To so many, writing or drawing in their journal is creating a safe space or a fun interaction!

Some students share what they write and others choose to keep it private. Some draw feelings through stories and drawings, some choose to write stories. Some write or draw about their favorite things. The journals have created a fun, healthy interaction with feelings and emotions.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jackson's Library

  • Testing, Testing 1..2..3!

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

I wanted to thank you for your generosity. My students have had an immediate impact from your donation! They are able to test in the Library after reading a book. It is lifting their Accelerated Reader goal totals and encouraging them to read more!

Any incentive to read is always a welcome incentive!

Reading is always fundamental and necessary for our students to achieve goals at school. With your gift you have made testing more accessible and immediate therefore showing them what they can work on while in the Library. This helps them choose better books for their level of learning!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Jackson's Library
