I am requesting microscopes, robotic arms, and engineering STEM kits to inspire and support my students' upcoming hands-on research projects. Science is one of my students favorite subjects because they actually get to "DO" science. With these materials, I have planned for the students - especially my girls - to learn to how to operate the robotic arms and connect that knowledge to how robots and machines are used in the real world. Next, I want all of my students to discover that they are empowered to be an operator, tech, engineer or project manager of any heavy machinery on the job site, too! My future plans for the electrical kit is to challenge my students to explore electrical engineering with the STEM engineering kit! They will need to work from home and at school on this project. Also, I plan to teach the life cycle lesson with the lady bug larvae and the microscopes. Some of my students enjoy looking at specimens in the microscope and these items will support their curiosity and assist with connecting their real-world science experiments to Texas Star math testing questions as well.
