  • ABC's & 1, 2, 3's!

    Funded Jul 4, 2018

You are building my classroom. I'm not overstating this; without your support, I would not have the program I do. Your support means everything.

We have already been able to implement the use of the materials you have donated to us, and the students are absolutely love the materials. They are engaged, they're learning, and they're having fun; it is everything we hope to achieve with a play-based, learning environment.

Thank you so much for your support. I am humbled by the many ways your investment in our classroom will be aiding our students, and I will always be grateful. I hope you know what a big difference you're making. Your help makes our world a better place.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Schulz

  • Preschool by the Numbers: 1, 2, 3!

    Funded Feb 24, 2018

Or in this case, donor in a singular description.

Amol, you have single-handedly helped ensure and strengthen a stronger start for our students. Your donation will help us develop counting skills and help with an understanding of geometric shapes. Our students benefit from early exposure to STEM concepts, to help better prepare them for kindergarten, as well as being able to understand the world around them in the present. It helps to develop an awareness, and to be able to communicate what they see. In short, this equipment will help them make sense of the world, as well as prepare them to succeed in the future. You've made the happen, again.

Thank you so much for your continuing support of our program. You generosity is amazing, and it will help the students in our program today and in the years to come.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Schulz

  • Protecting Resources!

    Funded Jun 24, 2017

Your generosity will impact our students this year and in the years to come. By helping us with the storage shed, you are ensuring that the equipment we use outdoors, like our tricycles and water tables , will last much longer and help many more students. We don't have a storage system for all this equipment, and the weather takes a heavy toll. We have been running into the expensive problem of having to replace equipment with high frequency. Your investment in our program not only protects our resources, it helps us save precious funding for other, much needed equipment and supplies for our students. This is only possible because of you reaching out to help, and for that I will always be appreciative.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Schulz

  • Making Tiny Scientists

    Funded Jun 4, 2017

Thanks to you, years of students will have more access than ever to materials that will help them explore and understand the world around them.

Our students are like any other students, and they want to know all about the world they live in. They wonder, they reach, and they explore everything around them. Your investment in their curiosity will yield dividends in their minds for the rest of their lives. You are helping them advance; to better find their way as they walk the earth. And it's not just the students now; it's the students that will come through our doors for years. That's a huge impact, and you are responsible for that. I will cherish this donation to our class, as will our students. Many thanks to you all.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Schulz

  • Classroom Haven

    Funded Jun 5, 2017

Sometimes, we all need a break from the world around us. This is true in all our lives, and no less so with our students.

Even when we are having a great time, we can get overstimulated. For most of us, we have the ability to step away to regroup, or at least the means to ask for a moment away. But when we're very young, we may not be able to articulate that need. That's what you helped create by donating to our class; you've created a place in our classroom where our students can go at any time when they feel overwhelmed and find a way to self-regulate so that they can access the curriculum and continue to be a part of the class.

Thank you so much; you've made an enormous impact in the lives of our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Schulz

  • Cleaning Up Our Act!

    Funded Aug 31, 2016

    Dear Donors,

For most students in our area, preschool is a child's first contact with formal education. It has a memorable and lasting impact that helps shape the perception of what school is and should be, often for years in a person's life. To that end, the physical layout and set-up of a classroom makes a huge difference. Do the students learn that a classroom should be a place where there is chaos, or a safe, clean, organized haven? I strongly believe in the latter. So to me, one of the many components in creating a great classroom is having a room that someone would want to be in and learn. This is where you all came in; with your donations, you helped to create a better environment for the students in my classroom. And not just this year, but years to come. You all really came through for us, and I will always be grateful for it. You've helped make the classroom an even better place.

Thank you. It's individuals like you that make a huge difference in the lives of our students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Schulz

  • A Classroom You Would Want To Be In

    Funded Oct 8, 2015

The effect your donation has had on our students has been instantaneous. Immediately, the students were drawn to the new areas that are so clearly defined by the rugs. And, the students brought over materials from other centers to use on the new rugs.

The rugs help in two critical ways. First, they help define the space that these children inhabit. In preschool, the students are learning about boundaries and learning to define them. These rugs help them do this in a tactile and visual manner. Second, the rugs create an inviting area that helps remind them that school is a fun and comfortable place, which helps the students understand that school is a place that they want to be.

You've helped make our room an even more special place to be. We simply could not have done it without your generosity. I'm looking forward to posting photos of the students in action on the rugs you've given us, so that you can share in the joy the students are experiencing.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Schulz

  • iPad & Library Expansion

    Funded Jun 3, 2015

Your generosity will have a very large impact, not just on the students this year, but on the years to come.

The accessories to the iPad will help protect for longevity of use, and the casing will allow the students to access the iPad directly in a safe and very fun manner. It's silly, fun, and let's the students explore their world through technology.

The books are going to help further the education of the students, and help them to develop a love a literature that will last a lifetime. They are all classics in children's literature, and staples in any children's library. And it's because of you that the children will have these classics.

On behalf of my self and the students, thank you. You're helping their world become that much richer.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Schulz

  • An iPad's Touch to Reach the World

    Funded Apr 10, 2015

I want to thank you once again for your incredibly generous donation to our classroom. Your gift of the iPad is doing something remarkable; your are bringing the world to our students in ways that most may not have the chance to experience.

We use dialogic reading practices in our program, which helps student improve their vocabulary, improve their listening skills, encourage the use of conversation and communication, develop their comprehension skills, and help them understanding of joys and wonders of reading. The iPad helps us take the next step, and get to see and hear what has been read about. If we are doing a lesson on different types of instruments found in an orchestra, the iPad allows us to go online and see and hear demonstrations of each of those instruments, and then to experience what an orchestra sounds like. And the possibilities are endless. With this iPad, we can go to concerts, zoos, outer space; anywhere we can imagine.

Your donation allows our students to open up their imaginations and access our world. Already, we've been using the iPad in our ongoing unit on different types of bugs, and have seen bugs in action through the iPad. The kids are so excited about and interested in the iPad and all it can do, and I am, too. It has already become an integral part of my teaching and their learning, and we couldn't have implemented it without your support. From the bottom of all our hearts, thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Schulz
