This project will help the entire Special Education department at our elementary school. The Special Education Department's students come to me from a variety of backgrounds with unique strengths and weaknesses. They are from all over the DC area, and their needs range greatly. We hope to enhance learning with new technology in our classrooms. This technology will also enhance teacher planning; allowing for posters to be projected (not printed or written) as well as allowing for videos and games to be integrated into lessons. Giving students opportuntiies to interact with their material in different modalities makes learning exciting! Interactive whiteboard technology and document cameras will be put to good use; allowing teachers to present lessons (and save them!) in new and different ways while allowing students to engage with material in new and different ways.
