Help Inspire Math Minds!
Funded Jun 22, 2020I received our classroom manipulatives last year before we knew about the Corona Virus. The intent of the use of the manipulatives, was to use during our centers. As I am sure you are aware, the virus changed the way that we learn and participate in a classroom so adjustments had to be made.
Fast forward to the new school year. We have been in person 5 days a week. Centers were not an option. Thanks to an amazing teaching community, I decided to do crates to contain my students manipulatives and other necessary items. I created math tool kits that contain multiple manipulatives that my students use on a daily basis. In their kits, they have items such as rulers, dice, cards, reference cards, shapes, and so much more thanks to this project! It has been the best part of math this year. Thank you for your continued support of our classroom!”

BREAKOUT MYSTERY KIT
Funded Mar 1, 2019I can't thank you enough for your support of our classroom. They say that a picture is worth a thousand words! Look at the pictures that are showing their excitement!
The students were counting down the days until the arrival. The day that it arrived, one of my students alerted me first thing in the morning, that she saw the kit in the office and wanted me to get it right away. They could hardly wait to try it out.
We will be using the kit in the upcoming months to review all of the standards that we have learned throughout the year. Most recently, we used it for some St. Patrick's holiday fun. There are so many useful ways to use our breakout.edu kit.
Thanks again for your generous donations. It makes our time in math class so enjoyable. We are already looking forward to doing more projects.”

Funded Oct 25, 2018Thank you so much for donating to our project. We have been using the machines during our center time for extra practice of our multiplication and division facts. It is one of our favorite ways to practice facts!
When the students first saw the boxes, they were so excited! They couldn't wait to open them to see what was inside. Everyone wanted to use them right away, so I passed them out and we began quizzing each other about our math facts. We love working in groups, so these work perfectly!
Being able to receive donations from generous supporters has made our classroom a much better learning environment. Every year our classroom is becoming better thanks to generous donations by supporters like you! Thank you so much for helping us make learning fun!”

Enhanced Learning with Technology and Hands-On Learning Centers
Funded Jan 26, 2018Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for donating to our classroom. Some of the students have headphones, but many would often have to borrow from our used box. The headphones that we had didn't fit well, and were bulky, so they are so excited to get these headphones. We are currently working on a time unit, and we were able to use them today to interact with time problems online. The online problems allow me to assess them as they answer questions, and will also teach mini lessons to help them progress successfully. We have many math sites that we use online to help us learn, and the kids love being on the computers. We will begin working with our fraction tiles soon, and the kids can't wait to get their hands on them!
Thanks again for donating to our classroom! You are going to be part of our third grade learning for many years to come.”

Mrs. Dixon
