  • Learning Is Better With a Full Belly!

    Funded Dec 13, 2019

I am so grateful for your help with my project because not only do they have the snacks to eat and share but it is also a learning tool.

I say that it is a learning tool because I made it like a little store with snacks. They get tickets for almost everything they do in the classroom and use those tickets to buy the snacks. This gives them a lesson about daily life and counting.

I really enjoy as well as they do embarking in that wonderful experience of buying and selling. I want to say thank you with all my heart for helping me give this experience to my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Almonte

  • Tech For a Better Tomorrow, Family Engagement!

    Funded Nov 6, 2019

I sincerely give thanks to you for supporting my project. Thanks to this computer we are able to communicate with our parents with Class Dojo points. This program helps them check their children's behavior progress through the points they get. We can also send them messages and reminders about school events.

Students use it to navigate the internet for projects, educational games and school's programs since our technology is a little old and slow. They love that it is light and easy to navigate.

All of these are possible because of your support.”

    With gratitude,

  • Oh, The Places I'll Go!

    Funded Dec 31, 2017

I can't describe the excitement on my students' faces when I opened the box and they saw our materials. They wait anxiously every morning for reading time. They enjoy listening to our new books and discussing it. Now, they want to finish their work so they can read our new books or listen to them in the listening center.

These books and Cd's have change the reading dynamic in my classroom by increasing students' interest in reading and listening. They like to discuss the books as well as drawing and writing about them. Reading is something they want to do not because I say so but because they enjoy our new books.

My ELLs and SWD students are benefiting a lot with the audio books. They like to listen to the stories as they look at the books. Their motivation to read and participate in class has increased as well as their language and speech production.

I have no words to thank you enough for your generosity. Thank you for believing in my little ones and providing them with new material that is inspiring them to read. I can only imagine all the places they will go!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Almonte

  • Tech Savvy

    Funded Dec 20, 2016

My heart is bursting with gratitude and joy to say thank you to you. Your wonderful donation made my students the happiest children on earth. They were thrilled as they were able to scan their work for other classmates to look at as they explain it. They felt empowered because they owned the learning.

They loved the computer as well since they were able to work without being interrupted because of the computer freezing. They enjoy searching for pictures for their projects and working together with classmates.

They really embrace working with this new technology in our classroom since it is simple and useful especially for those that don't speak the language because they easily scan and show their work as well as work without interruptions in the reading program.

I can not thank you enough for giving these wonderful technology to our classroom.”

  • I Want to Read!

    Funded Sep 27, 2015

It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I write these words to you. The contributions that you made to my program are so deeply appreciated. My students were so eager and thrilled to dig for a new book that they sat down to look through it right away. Their faces were glowing with enthusiasm as they were looking at the beautiful and interesting books that we were able to acquire with your support. The library looks more appealing to my students.

Thank you again for your kindness in support of our project.”

  • From Dull to Shine: Motivating Good Writing

    Funded Mar 4, 2014

It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I am writing this thank you letter to you. My Pre-K students were thrilled to open the box and use the wonderful supplies you purchased for them. My first graders love working with the different activities in centers. They are having fun without realizing how much they are learning too. But, my excitement and gratitude is even bigger because I can see how using these activities is helping them better their writing, reading, and phonics skills as well as making my lessons more fun.”
