We are so appreciative of your generosity and kindness. These items will allow us to participate in calming and super fun activities in the art room. I find crafts to be a wonderful hobby. My teenage students are eager to learn crafts and hobbies that take them off the screens. They giggle, help, and enjoy time together learning new activities. We also use a lot of these items for our art projects as well. My art students really appreciate proper tools for their art projects allowing their ideas to come to life. Its great when they learn a new skill that can provide them with joy and a new, productive hobby.”

Oh, boy. These watercolors are exceptional! My kiddos actually gasped when we opened the palates. The beautiful colors made my students really excited. We use watercolors for a lot of our Art therapy and process art making. They are very fluid and smooth and now my art students have a renewed enthusiasm for art making. These supplies will help us finish the year strong, happy, and productive. Thank you for thinking about my art students in your time of generosity. It is very kind and my students feel valued and important when we talk about Donorschoose and the giving spirit of strangers.”

My students are incredibly happy to be finishing the school year with new brushes. They are now better and more confident painters and deserve new, clean brushes. They are more experiences in cleaning and caring for their tools and I am happy to be able to provide them with these. They are better quality brushes then we have had, which is reflective of hat the kiddos deserve. My gradating students will be painting tapestries which will adorn our hallways creating a positive impact and beautifying our community The true sense of legacy for my artists.”

Oh, yeah! Gelli Printing has been our new obsession. My art students are over the moon, having so much fun with this art form. It is very accessible to all skill levels and has beautiful results. Even pieces that are not originally our favorites can evolve into great prints with layering and patient. We can even use older prints for our collage and mixed media projects. We are very happy to have these large Gelli plates and I am looking forwards to witnessing my students artistic journey with these new items”

We are so very excited for these items, and they came at the perfect time! As we begin to clean up the art room we have lots old paper and projects. The plan is to upcycle these papers into new handmade ones! I think this will be a great activity for my graduates who need highly engaging activities at the end of their high school career. Additionally, I am planning on having these students use their newspapers to write beautiful letters of appreciation to staff member and teachers that made an impact on their high school career. Very excited and can't wait to get started!”

Thank you for thinking about my students in your time of generosity and kindness. These items add to our tool box of goodies, escalating our art making potential. We very happy and excited to have these tools. My teenage students are learning safety protocol and proper use of simple tools and are feeling a sense of satisfaction in using it. We can do projects that we never would be able to without these items. Collage, paper mache, mixed media projects are taking on anew life and kiddos are more engaged. Thank you !”

We are so grateful for your kindness. These items are necessary and often a financial burden for many of my students. Often, kids are unprepared for their cycles or simply cannot afford what they need. They know they can come into the art room and take their monthly supply without worry, stigma, or concern. Additionally, the cough drops and simple first aid supplies, are needed when students require a bit of care. I feel very lucky that Donorschoose and their donors allow for me to offer these items in students moments of distress. They feel seen and important. Thank you.”

Oh boy! I am very grateful for this project. journaling has become a very needed and favorite mindfulness and calming technique for my students. They often gravitate towards it at the end of the week, end of the marking period, or whenever they need a break. We use the journals to reflect and respond to artwork, brainstorm ideas, or as a treasure for the kids to receive as a gift. Sometimes that is all a kid needs to feel better. Many of my students are never given anything, just because. You generosity allows me to be generous towards very deserving youngsters.”

We have been having a blast creating cardboard sculptures! My art students are really enjoying cutting, building, and fabricating art while working together to solve artistic problems and create fabulous art pieces. Having the right tools makes a big difference in the enjoyment of the creative process. From simple boxes and cardboard, they have been able to fabricate complex images that represent social issues that are important to them. It is wonderful to guide teenagers to create art that expresses topics that are so relevant to them and provide a means for them to think and reflect on our social topics.”
