  • Hands on Fun

    Funded Feb 1, 2022

Our students enjoyed using their new materials. There has been so much more painting and building going on in the classroom. The paint provided the opportunity for students to explore print making and create beautiful and unique paintings each day. Our walls are full of colorful artwork and children are engaged in play in each learning center of the classroom. With these new materials my students have engaged in fun and creative age appropriate STEM related activities which helped to build my students independence and encouraged them to explore and think creatively! Many, many thanks for all of your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Toro

  • Warm and Cared for Kids

    Funded Dec 16, 2021

My students were thrilled when we opened up the box full of colorful hats and mittens. My students were so happy when they found out that they'd each be able to choose their own hats, mittens and scarves. Children sought after their favorite color and were super excited to put on their hats, mittens and scarves. Their smiles were so wide that they could be seen even behind a mask! Students have cared for their cold weather accessories day in and day out and parents were thrilled and grateful to receive the new clothing items!”

  • Keep Calm and Play On

    Funded Dec 18, 2021

These liquid tile mats have been such a wonderful asset to our classroom. When students need a break from the daily routine, they come and step on these mats. This helps student calm down when they have difficulty processing their feelings. When students sit on the mat they enjoy pressing down on the mats with their hands and watching as the water slowly moves around. This provide a soothing sensation and relaxes the students when they need it most. Thank you so much for contributing to this important and useful classroom tool that aids in students being able to self regulate!”

  • Movers and Shakers

    Funded Feb 9, 2022

The students really enjoy making music with their new music materials. They like choosing their favorite color rhythm sticks and learning new beats to play. My students also enjoy shaking the music eggs fast and slow, up and down, and around in circles. Their smiles and giggles light up the classroom as they play. Their laughs are contagious as the music making fills their hearts up with joy! We've also incorporated the scarves into our dance time. Students wave their scarves from side to side, from their head to their knees and their toes! The children like throwing their scarves and catching them as well. Thank you for contributing to so much joy in our classroom.”

  • Mini Writers

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

Our students love writing with their magic erase boards. These magic erase boards are used multiple times each day. During large group learning, students use the boards for practicing writing letters and numbers and drawing the weather during morning meeting. Students also use them in individual learning centers. When students need a quiet break, children go to the cozy corner and draw their emotions on the magic erase board. These magic erase boards are a hit, they are small enough for tiny hands and so easy to store away when not in use. Thanks so much!”

  • Rest & Sleep with Comfort

    Funded Sep 8, 2021

Thank you for your generosity for this project. Our students and their parents appreciate having fitted sheets for rest time. Students use these sheets each day during their rest time. The sheets are a perfect fit for the rest mats and all of our students rest comfortably on their sheets. We have extra sheets which are helpful for parents who may forget to return the sheet clean after the weekend. Students are learning how to independently fit the sheet onto their mats and independently remove the sheets for cleaning. Thank you for your support and generosity.”

  • Blooming Binders

    Funded Aug 12, 2021

Thank you for providing binders for our students. With these binders we have been able to create an organized work portfolio for every student. Each month I choose pieces of work that showcase students growth. In addition to the work I choose, students have the opportunity to carefully choose work samples to place inside of their portfolio. Whether it be artwork they've created, a writing sample or photos they have taken during center time, students are enjoying the process of creating their portfolio and I know parents will be thrilled to view their child's portfolio at the end of the school year. Thank you so much for your support and generosity!”

  • Distance Learning Survival Kit

    Funded Feb 20, 2021

Thank you for your support. My students were SUPER excited to learn that our class project had been funded. Lot's of yay's and woo hoo's were overheard during our live virtual meeting. Once the new materials were in their hands they were so giddy and couldn't wait to get home and open up their backpacks to discover all that was inside. Since then the students have been using their materials on a daily basis during our live virtual meetings. During these meetings students take out their materials from their backpacks and use them for math, literacy and writing activities. Parents also use these materials to engage in daily learning activities with their child at home. Many parents have seen an improvement in their child's learning in just 2 weeks with these materials. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity!”

  • Cubby trays are IN, Germs are OUT!!!

    Funded Nov 28, 2020

Thank you for your generous donation. My students are using the cubby trays to store their loose belongings in their cubbies. The trays are keeping our cubby area clean and orderly. The kid's know where to put their loose articles and can easily access their items independently. These bins help us prevent lost mittens and gloves during winter months. Students can also store their pencil case and independent materials inside of the bins.

Parents are happy to know that their children's items are stored away and as a teacher I'm happy that the kids can independently put away their belongings while keeping our classroom environment clean during the pandemic.”
