  • Printing in Color

    Funded Jul 29, 2023

Thank you for you support! I am able to print all of the resources I need for my classroom. I can print items in color and black and white and the students benefit from all of the digital images that are printed and used in the classroom. Families enjoy reading the printed classroom newsletter and seeing all of the printed photos I print display on our parent news board and student made books. Thank you for your support I appreciate your contribution to my classroom as this is so useful and needed on a daily basis!”

  • Everyone Grows When They Play Basketball!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

Our students absolutely love the mini basketball hoops and balls. Our students thoroughly enjoy shooting the ball into the basket during recess time. They also enjoy learning how to dribble a basketball and are working on taking turns with the ball. Student's gross motor skills are improving as they run and learn how to play basketball. They are learning how to throw a ball using full range of motion and learning how to catch a ball from a peer. They are also working better as a team as the sport encourages team work and collaboration when playing.”

  • Unlock our Learning

    Funded Jan 23, 2023

My students loved the hands-on learning they received from your generous donation. The toy alphabet locks and keys really helped my students build letter identification skills! The number locks helped my students with number recognition, matching and counting from one to twenty, while building motor skills! Each time they made a successful match, the key would turn and the lock would open for instant reinforcement which made kids light up with joy! These materials were a classroom favorite and will be for years to come. Thank you!”

  • Hands on Reading

    Funded Jan 23, 2023

My students really enjoyed the books you donated. After opening the box together students were so eager to explore the books and they quickly became classroom favorites! Students learned new textures and vocabulary such as bumpy, rough, soft, smooth and even sticky.

Your donation also provided my students with engaging books that helped them explore the alphabet—one letter at a time! The colored books are full of vibrant photos and contained simple, easy-to-read text that kept my young students engaged and helped them become confident early readers. Thank you so much for your generosity and support!”

  • Hip Hip Hooray for Outdoor Play!

    Funded Sep 29, 2022

My students use all of this equipment each day during recess time. The equipment has increased students ability to take turns and share. Students are having fun learning how to throw and catch. They also enjoy the bowling set, they count how many pins were knocked down and how many are still standing. Kids also work on their hand eye coordination when playing ring toss and bean bag toss.

Kids are so excited to play outside each day with the materials. We even created a new classroom job, entitled equipment manager. The equipment manager brings the materials to the playground and makes sure all the equipment is placed back in the bag when recess is over. This job incorporates team work and responsibility skills which is so important at their young age.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity, my students and I genuinely appreciated it.”

  • Sandtastic Play

    Funded Sep 23, 2022

My pre-k students love the sand you provided to our classroom. They have benefited so much from the sensory play. I have seen improvement in their fine motor skills since incorporating more sand play in our sensory table. I have also seen the sensory play enhance their social and emotional awareness through sharing and turn taking.

Our students come in each day eager to engage in play especially through sensory play and exploration and having more sand allows me to extend the amount of opportunities I can give them to play with sand. Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness!”

  • Cozy Space for Social Emotional Learning

    Funded Sep 7, 2022

Your donation has made a huge impact on our classroom. The mat was placed in the reading area along with two bean bag chairs to create a clean cozy classroom area. This cozy mat provides enough space for my students to sprawl out on the floor while reading with their friends or sitting together with an adult to read a favorite story.

The soft stuffed social emotional learning toy otter is a classroom favorite. It has been placed in the cozy library area to help calm any anxiousness children may feel while being away from their family. The toy Otter's story reminds my students that we are always connected to the ones we love, no matter how far apart we are. I have read this story numerous times and students are now able to look at the pictures and retell what is happening in the book. The cozy mat, book and toy provide security and stability for kids during uncertain times. It has added to our cozy corner by creating a safe, warm and comfortable classroom space that is so essential to meeting the needs of each of my students.”

  • PLANT Smiles, GROW Laughter, HARVEST a Love for Learning!

    Funded Apr 6, 2022

Thank you for your generosity. Your donation has inspired our students to dive into learning all about plants. With your donation the students were able to cultivate a pretend flower garden. They worked endlessly to create intricate gardens and added the pretend insects into the pretend play. They compared and contrasted the type and size of the insects.

Students learned which insects live in a garden and planted grass seed to observe how a plant grows. Students learned how to care for their plants and observe its growth daily and recorded their findings in a plant journal. The terrarium kit was well loved. Students worked cooperatively to create the terrarium. The kids placed in the soil, seeds and added in the decorative toys. They were excited to observe how the plants in the terrarium grew over time. At the end, of the unit students used the tempera sticks to paint images of the plants they grew. It was such a great way for kids to tap into their creative side.”

  • Sensory Bins for the Win

    Funded Mar 10, 2022

Our students were so excited when they saw our new sensory bin materials! They were drawn to the bright colors, the "squishy sand", scoopers and more! Students are engaged when they play with the sand and are cooperating with each other each day. The sensory bins relate to the content areas we cover in our classroom. Some of these units of study are water, plants, transportation,”

  • Making Connections One Book at a Time

    Funded Apr 4, 2022

These books are sent home with students weekly. Parents read the books to their child and encourage their child to answer reading response questions. The questions are preplanned and placed inside of each child's reading bag. Students respond to the question with a drawing and parents write down their child's dictation of the respond inside of the writing notebook. The reading books are rotated weekly among the students. Students meet with teachers to discuss their reading response and are encouraged to share their work with peers. Parents and students have shared that they both enjoy the reading activities. Thank you for your support in the process of engaging parents and students in reading books that are enjoyable and related to our content areas.”
