  • Do You See What I See

    Thank you! Your contribution to our classroom has made virtual learning more visual and interactive for my students. Unfortunately we cannot utilize the items on the classroom as we are remote, however the document camera has played such an important role in our lessons. With the document camera I am able to project onto the screen what I see on my end and students get a clear picture of what they are expected to do in their end. It's a GAME CHANGER! So thank you. The podium has been brought to the school as well in hopes of being utilized to its extent upon return.”

    Thank you so much for your generosity. Unfortunately due to the pandemic the students are unable to use the materials in the classroom. It is my hope that by November, upon return we can safely utilize the tools that you have all so graciously donated towards.

Teaching ELL's can be challenging when we lack in resources that are essential to ELL's such as visual resources. According to a research conducted by Jenson "Visuals are important for remembering information." (Jensen, 2008, pg. 104). "ELL's often have difficulty processing auditory information and so instruction that is supported with visual clues is more beneficial to them." (Nieto & Bode, 2008, pg. 42). I am eager to get my students in love with learning. I will provide these students with visual resources to enhance their education and their love for the English language. These materials will allow for me to show education videos, create exciting and entertaining visual aids, and even display anchor charts and work that they could see as it is being discussed.
