I can't stress enough the importance of a book in the hand of kids. My goal is to sow a seed of reading in every student's mind in my classroom. Since we are a Dual Literacy classroom, with French as our target language, I would like to build a nice corner library in the classroom where the students can grab a book during their free time. Being able to relate to the books they are reading is important, thus the importance of a diversity set books in the classroom so the students can share their similarities and celebrate their differences.
