  • Bins for 2nd Grade!

    My second graders were so excited to start using their desk bins. Each one of them personalized their name tag and stuck on their bin with the pockets provided. Your donation has contributed to ensuring that our transitions between classes are so much quicker and easier. The desk bins are used daily and have helped greatly with organization skills.     These biographies have been a class favorite since our project was funded. Thanks to your donation my second graders are excited to learn about many historical figures. The colorful illustrations and format of the books make them engaging for all the diverse readers in our classroom.

  • Cool Down Spot

    I feel like I cannot adequately express the difference that the cool down corner has made in our classroom. All the materials that were a part of this project such as posters, emotion management book, and sensory items came together perfectly to create a space that my students needed for their mental wellbeing.

    The students were so excited to open the giant box that the bean bag came inside of. They now have a place to go when feeling overwhelmed or anxious. I'm thankful that you made this spot a possibility for my second graders. They have gained a lot since integrating it into our class.”

  • Chromebooks for Learning

    Funded Oct 19, 2021

    My second graders were super excited to learn that we would be adding two chromebooks to our classroom. Your donation made team review games such as Quizziz and Kahoot a possibility. Before this donation we only had four chromebooks to share with five table groups making it very difficult.

    Students look forward to Fridays because we are able to make collaborative reviews a weekly occurrence. I have also noticed that some students are doing much better in assignments when presented through digital platforms such as SeeSaw. Your donation has also allowed for me to incorporate more project based learning opportunities which students thrive in, as well as free choice technology time for early finishers.

  • Read All About It in Scholastic

    Second graders have been enjoying all the scholastic resources that we now have at our fingertips. It has made the integration of social studies and reading an easier and more engaging task. My seconds graders have especially enjoyed collaborating on the digital quizzes that accompany the paper articles. The articles have made current events and special holidays relatable to them by using language that they are familiar with. They are always ready to learn when I say it is Scholastic time, some favorites are the extension activities. This resource has also helped differentiate instruction to fit the diverse needs of my classroom.”

  • A Class Library for 2nd Grade

    My second graders were so excited to open the packages that held their new books. It was so much fun to hear their cheers as I pulled out each new book. A book for every interest and reading level in our classroom.

    Reading is a fundamental skill of life and I'm grateful that our library received a much needed boost due to your donation. I have noticed that students are drawn to these new books and they look forward to our reading station.

In these unprecedented times, making digital resources readily accessible from home is highly important for those students who need it. It will also provide an opportunity for parent involvement in their child's learning. Children will use these subscriptions to grow as readers, thinkers, and creative learners. I'm excited to provide this opportunity for them.
