Thank you again so much again for your support of my classroom. I was blown away with how quickly this project was funded and with how easy it was to improve my classroom with help from you!
This project brought new life to our classroom reading life. Some favorites have been Caps for Sale, The Big Umbrella, and They All Saw A Cat. I wish I could record the "ooooh's and ahhhhh's", the laughter, and the discussions that these books have prompted! These books have exposed the children to new ideas on feelings, on what it's like to be a kid, and about being a positive member of a community.

These materials will provide my students with the opportunity to engage in STEM activities on a daily basis. In our current educational climate there is so much emphasis on preparing our students for a future full of new forms of engineering and technology. These new tools will be used daily as early finisher work, "challenge yourself" stations, exciting center work, and to further incorporate the sciences into a math and ELA heavy day. My goal is to encourage our budding scientists, artists, designers, technicians, and architects! These STEM bins and manipulatives will allow my students to practice their critical thinking and fine motor skills in collaborative and independent ways. These tools will also act as a motivator in the classroom and motivation is key to remaining engaged at any academic level.
