Future Scientists Go to NASA Museum!
Funded Nov 28, 2018This trip was one that students still cherish to this day. This particular group of students are now seniors in high school, about to graduate this May. These students STILL talk about the moments they appreciate from the hands on science experience they got because of donors like you!
Many of these students will graduate this May and go on a to college to study science. Many of these students also found their love for science through hands on experiments and field trips that were only made possible by DonorsChoose.”

This classroom project was brought to life by An anonymous donor and 5 other donors.Future Scientists Need Funds for Dissection Field Trip!
Funded Dec 3, 2017I cannot explain the gratitude I have for being given this opportunity to visit the Adventure Science Center with my seventh graders to dissect fetal pigs. I was told that my first year teaching was going to be both the hardest and most rewarding thing I have ever done. While this remains to be true, even on my hardest days, the immense joy I saw in each and every one of my students during this field trip is what reminds me of why I was brought to teach at all. They expressed curiosity, intelligence, passion, joy, professionalism, respect, and many other things that demonstrated their amazing abilities as small scientists. Students were overwhelmed with the love and joy for their classmates and myself, their teacher, to have had this experience with one another. Even the few students who were unsure about attending the field trip at all thanked me for giving them the opportunity because they had one of the best days of their lives. I owe that all to you, the donors. Additionally, they were blown away by the idea that random strangers, that they hadn't met, wanted to give them something as big as this. Not only did they learn about science, they learned about the act of selflessness. Thank you for giving these kids a memory that will stick with them for the rest of their lives, a chance to demonstrate their scientific exploration, and an opportunity to feel like they are bigger than the walls of their school building. This, truly, was one of the best days of my and these kiddos' lives, and I cannot thank y'all enough.”
