I am a second year teacher with limited resources looking for support. When this project is fully funded, I will stock my classroom with the resources I am able to buy from your generous donations. I will have all resources accessible to all special education students at the school throughout the entire school day whenever the students need a break. The resources will help students regulate themselves through sensory integration to become comfortable and allow them to complete their school work throughout the school day. For example, a student may need to spend five minutes swinging on a swing or spinning on a sit and spin in order to gain self regulation to function throughout their school day and complete their work. Also, the resources such as fidgets will help students remain regulated to complete academic activities and tasks in their classrooms.
