2nd Grade Fun

My students love the digital clock. This has been a huge helper for them to know what time is it and they can easily read it themselves and from across the room. And I love that it tells the temperature in the room!
The fruit snacks and chocolates have been great to use as incentives and rewards.

My students had so much fun reading the new books. This has been a huge helper for my struggling readers. They are very excited to go book shopping and choose new books they can read independenty.
They have been having so much fun on the playground playing football and basketball. The new pump has been great to reinflate the footballs and basketballs to keep their bounce. They are creating new relationships through sports and play and it has been amazing to see.

My students had so much fun collaborating with other classmates to create Lego masterpieces. Listening to their conversations and to see their collaboration skills was very rewarding to witness.

Funded Feb 29, 2024Thank again for your generosity and providing us with these materials. My students were super excited as the supplies arrived. They really enjoyed creating posters to display around the school.
The best part was creating the public service announcements to remind the drivers and pedestrians to throw their trash in the proper places and not litter! They had so much fun with this project and their creativity was amazing to see. They even talked about continuing the project next school year.

Funded Feb 4, 2024Thank again for your generosity and providing us with these materials. My students were super excited as box after box arrived. They could not wait to start using our new flexible seating chairs. I barely got them out of the box before students were begging to sit in one during reading time.
The cricut machine has also been a huge success. Since January I have received 8 new students from Spanish speaking countries. We have used it to label the classroom, make valentines, and to put names on our water bottles. My students are always asking what else we can make with it.

Funded Sep 26, 2023Thank again for your generous donation. My students and I have been happily enjoying our new resources and supplies. They love the fidget toys, especially the Liquid Motion Bubblers and the fidget slugs. I have to set up a daily schedule so all students have a chance to use them.
The pencil light is also a huge hit. It is set up so it is one of the first things my students see when they enter the room. Even other students walking by stop to look at it.

Funded Dec 30, 2019Thank you very much for funding our project. We are extremely grateful! My students have been having a great time using these materials during their "brain breaks!"
Having time to to utilize these hands-on materials has become my students' favorite time of the day and help them to focus on their class activities.
My students love to use the comfy seats during independent reading time. Some of my students even have figured out a way to sit so that two students can sit on one. They love that the seats are easy to move around the classroom and students have found their favorite places to use them in the room.

Digital Learning!
Funded Mar 9, 2016Thank you, again, for funding our project. My students absolutely LOVE our new iPads and headphones. We use them every day and it is amazing how having these new materials has energized their learning. My students are excited to come to school because they can't wait to use the new materials.
The new materials are portable so students can use them everywhere which has been very helpful. A few students have even brought them to specials classes which has improved their behavior in those classes. They allow more students to use technology instead of always using the 4 desktop computers. The students really enjoy listening to stories on the iPads. Some have even created digital stories using the Little Bird Tales app on the iPads. They draw the pictures, type their words and even record their voices reading the stories. They love to share their stories with each other.

Hands-On Learning in Kindergarten!

We use them every day and it is amazing how having these new materials has energized their learning. My students are excited for literacy centers again because they can't wait to use the new materials.
The new materials also allow me to differentiate the skills my students are working on so that I am meeting the needs of all my students. The best part is knowing I will have these materials for the beginning on next school year to use with my class!

Listening to Literacy!
Funded Dec 6, 2011Thank you, again, for funding our project. My students absolutely LOVE our new listening center and whole-group CD player. We use them every day and it is amazing how having these new materials have made our lives so much better and easier.
Our whole-group CD player came with a remote control and it has allowed us to listen to stories together and answer the comprehension questions on the CD without me having to get up and pause and unpause the CD player between each question. Now that we have a CD player in the listening center my students have been exposed to new stories and have had the opportunity to use the brand new books that others classroom have been using instead of the tattered old books I had that accompanied the tapes. The most interesting part has been teaching the students to independently use the CD listening center. There are more buttons than the tape player and they want to push them all! But we are working on it and students are improving every day.
