Ink Needed for Fantastic Fourth Graders
Funded Feb 10, 2022I cannot thank you enough for your support and commitment to the education of our children. I am overwhelmed with excitement and gratitude for your generous donations. My students and I were so excited to receive our color ink for the printer so that we could continue learning in an engaging environment. They were excited to receive their non-fiction Scholastic and NewsELA articles printed in color. Their eyes lit up to see the real photos of volcano eruptions.
We are so grateful for donors like all of you that continue to help make our school year fun and meaningful. The students are able to learn and be engaged in activities with real photos as we conduct research and explore natural disasters. They also enjoy the real photos in color with their vocabulary words on our word wall. Real photos enhance their learning experience and help them make real connections. I cannot say thank you enough, this meant so much to my students and me. Thank you for making a major impact on the lives of our deserving, hard-working, and grateful students.”

Field Trip to Live Theatre
Funded Oct 17, 2019Our field trip to see My General Tubman at the Arden theatre was amazing. The students had a wonderful time learning more about Harriet Tubman. The play highlighted Harriet Tubman's leadership in the Combahee River Raid during the Civil War. It took us from the Civil War to abolitionist in Canada to present day Philadelphia.
At the end, the actors held a session for questions and they were blown away by the questions my students asked. We were the youngest group during our show. My students asked about preparation for the roles, if they studied the history first, how long does it take them to memorize their lines, and about the stage design. I was absolutely proud of my students. When we returned to the classroom, students responded to an essay prompt using evidence from the play and texts that we've read.
All of you provided my students with a memorable experience and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. It truly takes a village and community partnership for our students to achieve high levels of success.”

Chair Pockets for Our Little Learners
Funded Aug 15, 2017I cannot thank you enough for your support and commitment to the education of our children. I am overwhelmed with excitement and gratitude for your generous donations. My students and I were so excited to receive our supplies, so that we could continue learning in an engaging environment. They were excited to receive chair pockets so that we can have our supplies on the backs of our chairs to quickly access during instruction and stay focus.
The students and I loved the chair pockets! The chair pockets hold their pencils, markers, white boards, crayons, glue stick, erasers, notebooks, and any item they may need to use for our projects. Having the students use chair pockets rather than grouping the supplies helps minimize disruptive movement and allows our students to take responsibility for their supplies.
Having the chair pockets will also teach them to be responsible by making sure they keep their supplies in their chair pockets when they are not using them. We are so grateful for donors like all of you that made our school year fun and meaningful. I cannot say thank you enough, this meant so much to my students and I.”

Help Make Our Title 1 Classroom Brighter With Supplies
Funded Mar 29, 2017I cannot thank you enough for your support and commitment to the education of our children. I am overwhelmed with excitement and gratitude for your generous donations. My students and I were so excited to receive our supplies, so that we could continue learning in an engaging environment. They were excited to receive crayons and glue sticks so that we could continue to complete different projects with math and literacy. We ran out of glue sticks before they arrived so they were beyond excited to receive those.
The students and I loved the white boards, erasers, and markers especially for math. The students would try to race each other to write their answer and show it to the class. They also loved the Minions on the erasers. They couldn't wait to use those. Our classroom listening center died and when the new one arrived from donor's choose we were beyond excited. The students love listening and responding to stories in the listening center. For some students the tape player was difficult to use, so the new player that also plays CD's was a huge success. The students were able to play the disc with no problem at all. They also loved our new books that came with the new player.
We are so grateful for donors like all of you that made the rest of our school year fun and meaningful. The students were able to learn and be engaged in activities that allowed them to use their imaginations and explore their creativity. I cannot say thank you enough, this meant so much to my students and I.”
