Thank you for funding this project. Having guests work with my students really enhances their learning; giving them additional perspectives and opening up their worldview beyond the classroom. I was afraid we wouldn’t be able to have a clinic this semester and you made it happen. Thank you so much!”

Thank you so much for your donations! I’m excited to get these shirts for my students and to see them wear them with pride in the community. You helped give them something practical for their performances but also give them a sense of belonging through having these shirts to wear. Thank you so much!”
Thank you so much for your generous donations on behalf of my students! This donation came right in the nick of time as we will be able to order this music right when it's time to start learning it for our concert in February! They are excited to learn "Somebody To Love" and are grateful for your donations which made this happen. Thanks so much!”

Thank you for provided these resources to create a calming corner and safe space for students. I have noticed a change in creating this space in my classroom and students are utilizing the materials you have given when they need a moment to step away. The bean bag chairs have been especially helpful for students who need a moment to rest outside of class time (or even for a few minutes during class) and are greatly appreciated by the students. Thank you so much for your donations to make this happen!”

Thank you so much for providing textbooks. to help my students in AP Theory. These books have helpful practice examples as they learn music theory in my class. I've already seen students using these books to review and talk about topics they are wrestling with in class. So this has been a helpful tool already.
We will be using the practice tests in the back of the book to prepare for the AP exam in the spring as well. This is going to be a VERY helpful resource throughout the year and it's only going to help them be more prepared for the AP Exam and will help them learn music theory concepts that go beyond the test and will help them be able create, analyze, and perform music for the rest of their lives. Thank you so much!”

Thank you so much for helping bring this project to life! We have been working on this new arrangement that was written for us, and the students are so engaged in their study of music this year. I have students who enjoy the class, but this new arrangement has students engaging in new ways because of how much this song connects with them culturally. I even have students who have never auditioned for a solo in class before that want to try out because of their connection with the song Sabor a mí. It's important to me to create a classroom where the music they learn reflects not only the diversity of the school, but the world around them. This is a small but important step towards that goal. Thank you so much for investing in my students music education. You are appreciated!”
Thank you so much for making this project happen. We received the sheet music and part learning tracks from the arranger a couple weeks ago and they are SO EXCITED to learn this song. I wish you could have seen how excited the students were when we played the demo in class. They can't wait to dive in and make this arrangement of "Say My Name" come to life. It's really special for them to have this collaboration with a local professional artist and Grammy-nominated arranger like Tehillah Alphonso and it will make their learning come alive in a new way. We are hoping to perform it for the first time in February. We are so grateful for your help in funding this arrangement!”

Thank you so much for your donations towards this project. We received the new arrangement of "Sabor a mí" last month and students are thrilled to be learning the song. In a community where many people speak Spanish, I find it very important to be able to perform music in multiple languages even in a vocal jazz ensemble where so much music available is in the English language. For many students this song means a lot and has connected them to their learning in the class in new ways. We are excited to perform the song in a few weeks and I'm excited to see them grow as musicians through this music this semester. Thank you so much for helping make this project a reality!”

Thank you so much for supporting our project. Students were able to connect with a professional drummer. Not only did we create some videos, but students were inspired by his excellence as a professional. This project also helped inspire our students to play live with the singers as well for our upcoming in person performances.
On some level this was a small project that provided a one time connection with a professional, but the impact is one that will continue throughout the school year. Thank you so much for being a part of my students' musical journey!”

I teach Music to a diverse group of artistic students at a Title I visual and performing arts school in downtown Los Angeles. Students come to our school from all over the city to receive a top notch education in both academics and their chosen art form (music, dance, visual or theater). Many go on to study at some of the top academic colleges and art schools across the country.
My students study voice through ensemble and solo singing in a program that focuses on music literacy, cultural connections, and chances to perform and grow more confident in self expression.
