Chemistry Concepts Come to Life Part 2
Funded Jul 6, 2012Thank you OO.com for funding my project, "Chemistry Concepts Come to Life Part 2". These supplies will be put to use shortly and will benefit my students for decades to come.
My students were so excited when the packages arrived during class today. It was a welcome distraction and gave me an opportunity to preview a more exciting topic that the kids will be learning about next month.
Thank you for helping my students to be excited to learn about chemistry and for giving them the opportunity to work with equipment would otherwise never get!”
With gratitude,
Dr. McCoy
Tech Accessories
Funded Jun 13, 2012Thank you so much for funding my project, "Tech Accessories". These supplies arrived just in time for the start of the school year and my students will be starting their first project using many of the items you provided starting next week.
My students will be so happy that they have all of these awesome supplies to make their projects more professional. On behalf of my students, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! We would not have been able to get these supplies from our limited budget without your support.”
With gratitude,
Dr. McCoy
Chemistry Concepts Come to Life
Funded May 8, 2012Thank you so much for funding my project, "Chemistry Concepts Come to Life". Now that we have the spectrometer and additional spectrum tubes, the students will be able to see the differences between the colored light emitted by more of the elements. This equipment means that my students can go back and re-do a lab we did earlier in the year using only a sheet of diffraction gradient and can actually measure each of the wavelengths they see in the spectrometer. It's fantastic for them to use up to date equipment that will help them understand chemistry in new and exciting ways!”

Creating Crazy Chemistry Calculations
Funded Apr 10, 2012Thank you so much for funding my project "Crazy Chemistry Calculations"! The students were so excited to get the calculators, that they were actually asking me to give them a quiz. My students have already used them for a quiz and a test and they are all doing so much better because they no longer have to share the few calculators we used to have. Because they no longer have to share, on quiz days I can actually get back to teaching before the bell rings because all of the kids have their own calculator and no one has to wait in line to use one.”
