I am so excited to use the fractional distillation equipment with my honors and AP students in the coming days. This is equipment that I have been asking for every year for the last nine years! I am so happy that my students will be able to use this equipment in high school and hopefully it will inspire many of them to continue studying science or pursuing STEM careers in the future. With these fractional distillation sets, I have already completed a demo lab which my students really enjoyed. They were all asking, "When do we get to use it?" Thank you to everyone who donated to make this possible!”
The calculators and engraver arrived the day before my honors students test on moles. Because of your donations, every single kid in every one of my classes had a calculator to use for conversions with Avogadro's number (6.022 x 10^23). Their anxiety levels were much lower knowing there were calculators for them if they forgot their own or if it was not working. They did better on average than last years students because they weren't panicking about a calculator! So on behalf of my lovely students, thank you!”

My AP students will be working on the environmental labs in the coming weeks and they are looking forward to the new experiments I described to them as we unpacked the boxes. Thank you to everyone who donated to make this possible!”

I cannot describe to you how touched I am that you chose this project to fund. My students work so incredibly hard and I want all of them to do well on the AP exam. Your support was a great morale boost for them because it made them feel like their hard work was being noticed by someone other than me! I've had them using the Albert site as practice for our tests and will be using it much more as the AP exam approaches. They all want to do well for themselves and they also want to do well in honor of your Grandfather. They never met either of you, but you have inspired them and I am forever grateful!”

Thank you for taking the time to support STEM learning in our laboratory! The items purchased in this project are currently being used by my students in their investigations of pH, colligative properties, molarity and molality.
I truly appreciate being able to give my students the opportunity to use equipment that they have only seen in movies or on TV. They are just coming to realize that science is something they CAN persue if they really want to, and that is truly priceless. Thank you so much!”
I cannot thank all of you enough for supporting science, technology, engineering and mathematics education in New Jersey public schools! The materials arrived in my classroom the day we got back from our week-long hurricane Sandy emergency closing, so my students were very touched by your generosity. It was nice to give them something to talk about other than their lack of power and cold temperatures. It did them a world of good to know there are people out there who don't know them and yet are concerned about their education and their futures.
Thank you so much for the boost during tough times!”

Thank you Starbucks NJ for supporting public schools by funding my project, "Technology For The Chemistry Classroom". The supplies have arrived and my students are exceptionally happy!
My students will now be able to work on their projects from any computer at our school, the library or a friends house and save their work to their own flash drive. They were like kids in a candy store when they given the flash drives to use for this school year.
You made their day and mine. So thank you, thank you, thank you!”
Our school is very proud of our diverse population of students with 51 different languages spoken in our students homes. We are a suburban district that is surrounded by struggling urban schools. Many of our students have parents whose primary language is not English and have not graduated from high school. More than half of our students live in poverty and these factors make it difficult for them to span the achievement gap.
Each year the demographics of my classroom change. Though the faces are different, the goal remains to not only give these kids a strong foundation of chemistry, but to support their efforts in all facets of their life. From band to dance, sports or after school jobs, my students are busy! They are also smart, hardworking, overachievers that I hope to help achieve their goals of going to prestigious universities to further their academic careers.
