We live in a very different world than we did six months ago. When I walked out of my classroom on March 13, 2020, I could have never imagined the new world I would step back into when I reentered this building. Anxiety over a new virus is a very real thing not only to teachers but students as well. A student cannot learn effectively under stress and anxiety. A teacher cannot teach effectively under stress and anxiety. Covid-19 has caused stress and anxiety for many teachers and students. I have seen children choose virtual learning because of the fear of entering a classroom with others. Due to circumstances beyond their control, students and teachers may not have the ability to learn or work from home. We need to take their well-being into mind. If they are entering a classroom, let it be one that have additional safety measures in place. I have chosen an air purifier with UV-C technology which not only reduces germs and viruses, but helps reduce allergens in the classroom utilizing a HEPA filter. I need my students to feel safe and be safe in my classroom. Please help me give that to them!
