The Canon SL3 will be used in multiple classes: Screenwriting, Creative Studies, Acting for TV/Film and Play Production. For Screenwriting and Creative Studies, students will receive instruction, then create your 5 minute short films to be shown on our news station (DP News.) For Acting for TV/Film class, students will be creating professional slates and filming scenes that can be used for a professional reel. For Play Production, students will create ads for our shows and/or film scenes for use in our show. In the past we've had to borrow high quality cameras from another school program (DP News,) but these cameras are not always available when we need them. In addition, theater students have not been trained how to use them. If we had a camera or cameras of our own, students will be trained how to use them so they may serve as actors, directors, cinematographers, and editors. Thanks so much for your consideration!
