"Immersive Learning With Meta 2 Vr Headsets"
Funded Nov 3, 2023Many of our donors may use technology at home, but the application of technology in an educational setting may be unfamiliar. The VR headsets have revolutionized the way our students engage with learning material. They allow for immersive, interactive experiences that bring abstract concepts to life. Through virtual reality, our students can explore historical landmarks, dive into the depths of the ocean, or even travel to outer space, making learning more engaging and memorable.
The new product has sparked immense excitement among our students. The ability to step into virtual worlds and interact with 3D environments has captivated their imagination. They are particularly thrilled about the possibilities of virtual field trips, interactive simulations, and creative storytelling in a virtual space.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Young Sheldon on CBS and 7 other donors.Technology is the key to Success
Funded Dec 5, 2022As a grateful recipient of the iMac computer donation that you generously contributed, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your kindness, generosity, and support. Your gift has made a tremendous impact on the lives of my students, and I cannot thank you enough for your thoughtfulness and generosity.
As a computer science teacher who is passionate about technology and learning, having access to a reliable computer has been a game-changer for me. Before receiving your donation, I struggled with my delivery of instructions and being able to evaluate my student work due to the outdated and slow computer I used in the classroom and my students struggle with using the 3D printer and other coding materials. But, thanks to your gift, we can now work more efficiently and complete tasks with a level of ease we never thought possible.
Your donation has not only provided my students with a reliable tool for academic success, but it has also opened the door to opportunities that were once impossible to achieve. With access to a better computer, my students can now participate in online courses and seminars that I was previously unable to attend, expanding our knowledge and skills in ways that will help us achieve our computer science and technology goals.
We are immensely grateful for the support you have given my students in pursuit of their dreams. Your generosity has lifted a heavy burden from my shoulders and has given me renewed hope for a brighter future for my students. Knowing that there are kind people like you who are willing to help students like me makes me feel grateful and humbled.
Please know that your contribution has not only made an impact on the lives of my students but also in our school community. Your kind gesture has touched us deeply, and we will never forget your kindness.
In conclusion, I want to thank you again for your donation, which has provided my students with an invaluable tool for academic success, a brighter future, and opening doors to more opportunities. Your support has truly made a difference in their lives, and I appreciate it more than words can express.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Cognizant Foundation and 7 other donors.Falling in Love with Reading II
Funded Nov 23, 2013Every year, I try to provide my 4th graders historical fiction books to help their interest grow in reading and develop future lifelong readers. This year due to my class sizes and the economy I was unable to take on this yearly task again by myself.
Because of the donors from Donorschoose.org, my class will be able to complete their quarterly novel read of "Because of Winn Dixie" project that they love and enjoy so much. Many laughs, connections with the text and identifying with the main character took place on a daily basis until the book was completed.
By doing the "Falling in Love with Reading" project, my students are able to produce a creative, insight written dialogue about themselves and their character. Many of my students can't afford to buy their own books but through Donorschoose.org and you, it became possible.”
With gratitude,
Dr. Roberts

A Touch of Class II
Funded Oct 30, 2009Every year, I try to provide my 5th&6th grade girls with binders, composition books and other creative things to help them create their character education project. This year due to my class sizes and the economy I was unable to take on this yearly task again by myself.
Because of the donors from Donorschoose.org, my class will be able to complete their semester character education project that they love and enjoy so much. It is almost like a personal yearbook of their life thus far, their goals and their dreams. Every semester they present this in front of the class.
By doing the "A Touch of Class II" project, my students are able to produce a creative, insight written dialogue about themselves and their character. Many of my students can afford the regular school supplies better yet additional material that it takes to create this Touch of Class Binder. Most of my students are able to use this big arts & crafts activity as a means of an "outlet" to frustrating daily issues that arise in their lives but they can't express verbally. ”

A Touch of Class!
Funded Oct 20, 2009Our girls struggle with self-esteem issues. They often wonder if they are beautiful, they question who they are, what they want to become and even if their dreams or goals are worth setting. By reading the Pre-teen workbook "Don't Give it Away" by Iyanla Vanzant, my girls (my class) have the encouragement they need to become successful and create a plan on how to do so.
Don't Give it Away is a powerful workbook which creates positive -getting to know- yourself activities for young girls in all facets of life.
The 5th&6th girls have been reading the book, working on the activities, answering the questions in their journals and finding new discoveries about themselves on a daily basis. I hear them say "I really like this boos," or ""Guess what I found out that I like about myself," and my personal favorite "Can't we just read one more chapter."
There are no words I can say that will say Thank You enough. But I will try. Thank you for your donation of these books that keep my students up at night wanting more, writing more, thinking more , and uplifting themselves. I thank you, the girls' thank you and feel very inspired by what they are reading.
The outcome of Donorchoose.org has given my students so much more than I could ever imagine. By donating the book "Don't Give It Away," you really donated hopeful & successful students and given them "A Touch of Class".

Dr. Roberts
