• Show Me The Letters and Numbers!

  During this unusual time of learning remote, teachers have had to come up with some new ways of reaching our students.

  For me I wanted to reach beyond the screen and create a similar experience to what they would be getting in a classroom.

  Using the white board and letter cards to expand our learning helped to engage my students and created a level of expectations matching our classroom learning.

  A classroom environment is vital to the continued learning of student and nothing will ever replace having that face to face time with a students. Having the supplies helped in bridging the gap for us this year.

  Having the supplies to give to our kids enhances their learning experience and makes learning more meaningful.

  Using technology opens so many more options and allows for the diversity of our learning communities to flourish. The i pad allows for a child to practice a skill until it is mastered and reach beyond. It allows exploration of new concepts to spark their imaginations.

• Ready Set Organize!

  I am always so surprised to get a project funded and am so thankful to all of the people who give on Donors Choose. My goal is to have all the necessary tools for my students to be active learners and to reach their fullest potential.

  My students are just starting in their educational careers so I strive to set them up with a strong foundation for their futures. I also want them to be aware from a young age that sustainability is a something that everyone can actively participate in. Having the supplies to reuse our resource will help in preserving our planet.

• Love Our Earth!

  I am so thankful that so many people see the value in supporting our children by donating to projects on Donors Choose. I have been teaching for many years and throughout my time I have always spent my money to get my students the most basic of supplies and will continue to to do this because the benefits to my students.

  Having the chance to bring a life skills to these students through organization, will be setting them up to be successful, organized learners. The bins we will use will help them foster independence and accountabilty for supplies.

• Our Future Is Now!

  I feel so fortunate to have gotten this project funded. My classroom is my home away from home and my students deserve the very best we can give them. Having the resources that have been provide will continue my goal of making my classroom a greener environment for their future.

  As we opened the box containing our new supplies the kids were excited to see new materials and expressed wanting to use them right away. We will be using the white boards and erasable sentence strips to continue our word practice work. Having the ability to practice a skill will help them commit it to memory. Using a board that is not permanent allows them to take chances and teaches them being wrong is better than not trying. Thank you for all the support.”

• Practice Practice Practice Makes Perfect

  I am so happy to have had my project funded. My children will see the impact immediately. We will start to have the ability to laminate many of our resources that are currently only single use items. The children will be able to use and reuse pages with new skills to be mastered.

  Having a laminator in our room will help use to create an environment where we can eliminate so much waste created by paper. Our classroom is very mindful of the need to preserve our earth and I help them to realize that even the smallest change can have an great impact.”

• ABC I-Pad 1 2 3

  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

  I was overjoyed to hear that we had been fully funded for our first i-pad mini. My students were introduced to it the other day and have been put on a schedule to use it once a week. I know that with the addition of this technology that my students will start to soar. It will provide much needed repetition of facts for my struggling students and provide more challenging work for those students ready to move beyond where the class is. Technology in their hands was my goal and you have helped make that a reality.
