  • A Cozy Classroom

    Funded Apr 6, 2024

Our classroom is truly the coziest. It smells so delightful and the glade plug in aroma hits you right at the door. The hand towels and soap make my students want to wash their hands all day long. From morning meeting to snack time, my students feel they have a place of where they can enjoy every part of their day. I am so thankful that I no longer have to spend my own money in order to help make the classroom feel more inviting, because these things really make an impact. Learning and playing in a space that feels and smells clean and inviting is truly a blessing and we cannot thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Foster

  • We Heart Yoga!

    Funded Dec 18, 2023

Thank you so much for providing my students with these super cool, age appropriate yoga mats. We use them often! At least once a week, we'll set up our mats in the breezeway and practice our yoga and mindfulness to start off our morning. The students absolutely love it and we can truly see the impact. They can find their stillness and their balance has improved tremendously. Thank you so much for pouring into my classroom and into the lives of my students. I believe they will remember these practices and continue to utilize them. Many, many blessings!”

  • Doctor, Doctor!

    Funded Dec 18, 2023

Thank you so much for providing my students with these amazing resources. Our bodies unit is always a student favorite because they get to build on the knowledge they already have of their bodies. The teeth models truly help the children better understand oral anatomy and how to take care of their teeth. And we welcomed local doctors for the fourth year in a row, so of course we put on our doctor costumes as well. We truly cannot thank you enough for pouring into our classroom and the lives of our students. Many, many blessings!”

  • It's Cold Outside!

    Funded Dec 18, 2023

Thank you so much for these amazing resources. It has already gotten extremely cold here in the nation's capital, so these coats and blankets arrived just in time. Most of our students wore their coats the very next day after receiving them. And even when it's cold we still go outside so it is imperative that they bundle up. The blankets are large and will keep them warm at home and when they bring them in for nap time. I cannot thank you enough for providing my students with these essentials to make sure they can focus on learning. Many blessings!”

  • An iPad Just For Me!

    Funded Dec 18, 2023

Words cannot describe how thankful we are for these ipads. Students now have devices that they can use at school and at home. For home activities, students completed Nearpod lessons and Education.com activities. Mant students would have to use their parents' phones but can now utilize this top of the line technology. It truly is a game changer and the caregivers were so appreciative. The cases are also a bonus. Each student was able to choose their desired color which they were so excited about. We are forever grateful. Many blessings!”

  • Sensory-Rich Learning

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Thank you so much for these sensory rich materials. My students absolutely love the wiki stick sets which is supporting their understanding of letter formation and identification. The sensory mats are absolutely wonderful. The children sit on them during morning meeting and other group activities and love to watch the liquid separate as they move their bodies on them. These are the small things that make all the difference when learning.

Thank you for adding more joy and fun into our learning. We are truly appreciative! Many, many blessings!”

  • Preschool Violinists

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Thank you so very much for providing my students with these amazing string instruments. More than many of the students, parents were very excited to hear that their children would be learning to play the violin this year. We have partnered with a local music school who will be coming weekly to offer whole class and small group lessons to my students. This has been a months long process solidifying this organization and I am so thankful that my students will begin lessons in January. I cannot thank you enough for enhancing my students' learning and love of music and the arts! Many, many blessings!”

  • Learning My Body

    Funded Apr 3, 2023

Thank you so much for supporting my class and my students' learning. My students had the best time learning all about their bodies, and having these engaging books made it all the more fun. We learned about the different bones in our body and how to maintain strong and healthy teeth. The students welcomed local radiologist who taught them more about their bones. We are extremely grateful for resources such as these that add significant value to our lessons and learning, and inspire children to engage, explore and share their own knowledge. Many blessings to you!”

  • Sketch It, Write It!

    Funded Feb 27, 2023

These gel crayons are a classroom favorite. They write so smoothly and the children are thrilled to use them. Building a young child's confidence when writing is so vital to their development and as they continue to build their fine motor skills, it helps them understand that they are strong writers too.

I truly appreciate your generosity and willingness to pour into my classroom and students. We are so thankful and will continue to build the children's love of writing, creating and expressing themselves.

    Many, many blessings to you!”

  • We Love Reading Books!

    Funded Aug 21, 2023

My students LOVE books and these are definitely some of their favorites. We are truly appreciative of your generosity and cannot express how excited my students were to receive these. Grow Up David was an instant hit because it plays on the relationships of older and younger siblings. No David teaches the students about making positive choices while at school in a very lighthearted way. Thank you so much for pouring into the lives of my students and classroom. I truly believe my students to grow to be lifelong readers and loverspf hesring other' stories! Many, many blessings!”

As I continue to expand my knowledge on the benefits of play in the classroom, I have a strong belief that through the use of STEAM driven activities and materials, young children will be introduced to new concepts that allow them to better understand the world and how to relate to it. The young scholars I have the privilege of guiding daily will greatly benefit from the hands-on activities that can stem from these materials. Through designing their own magnets, creating sculptures from molding clay, and looking at objects they've collected through microscopes, my scholars' view of the world around them will continue to grow. I want to lay a foundation of learning that allows my students to continuously look for creative ways to build, invent, and explore.
