Cameras for Yearbook and Newspaper
Funded Apr 19, 2011Thank you so much for contributing to our classroom project, "Cameras for Yearbook and Newspaper." With your generous donation, we purchased two digital cameras and a hard carrying case. The students are already using these cameras for the yearbook, newspaper, and computer projects. The middle schoolers are so excited about taking digital photos. Some of them have never had the opportunity to use such expensive equipment, and it's so reaffirming to see them rising to the responsibility. Your generous donations really have made these learning moments possible.
I am especially grateful for your support of the students during these tough economic times. In CA, we are faced with a budget crisis, and we teachers have extremely limited resources. Now, more than ever before, I am so thankful for your help in providing middle school students with the engaging materials that offer them the opportunity to think critically, build literacy and learn about digital photography. You really have made a difference in our classroom this year!
Thank you for being a strong supporter of middle schoolers and their search to understand themselves each other!”

Peacebuilding in Middle School - Race to Understand Race
Funded Dec 6, 2010Thank you so much for contributing to our classroom project, "Peacebuilding in Middle School: Race to Understand Race." With your generous donation, we purchased a class set of the highly engaging graphic novel American Born Chinese. We read this novel as part of an anti-bullying unit in which students looked at common causes of bullying such as race, gender, socio-economic status, gender orientation, ability, etc. The students loved it, and the novel contributed greatly to their understanding of tolerance and peacebuilding in middle school!

This classroom project was brought to life by KnowHow2GO and 10 other donors.Seeing With Intention
Funded Nov 29, 2008Today when I checked my email, I was so excited to see that our class’s project had been funded! Thank you so much for believing in our “Seeing with Intention” project! Having the paper and “power” to take and print our pictures makes our exploration of digital photography possible. I will use the materials for years to come in an effort to help children learn about the artist’s vision and going green! I send you a truly heartfelt thank you! Without your support, this project really would not have been possible for our students. ¡Mil gracias!”

Ms. Lomax
