"Just Keep Swimming" Finding Nemo Jr.
Funded Apr 22, 2024Thank you so much for helping to fund this project. These supplies will give many students the opportunity to experience the positive experience of performing on stage. Now, more than ever, students need performing arts as a way to express themselves and build confidence. Thank you again for helping to make this possible for some of our most needy and deserving students! Make sure to be on the look out for pictures of my students in their new costumes on stage with the beautiful sets!”
With gratitude,

Technology is the Future and the Now!!
Funded Apr 13, 2016Dear Donors,
On behalf of my students, we want to thank everyone for your generous donations. With your donations we were able to get two MacBook Air laptops. The other teachers, who also had projects fully funded, and I are sharing these laptops. Our goal is to get a technology cart with 32 laptops. We are on our way to reaching this goal.
My students are currently working in groups to research about different nonfiction topics. They will take their research and either write an essay with pictures, diagrams and graphs, or create a PowerPoint presentation with those same elements. We are able to sign out the laptops and almost have enough so that each student is able to use one. For the time being, children are rotating the laptops so that every child gets time to use one. With practice, they are mastering how to research and create a PowerPoint presentation and how to have each object appear and disappear at the correct time in the presentation by previewing and editing it several times.
They are extremely excited and motivated about creating essays and presentations to present to their classmates using these new laptops. Every time we use the laptops, you can see the big smiles on their faces! Without your help, they wouldn't have had this opportunity to make these videos.
The use of these laptops has really ignited an interest in learning for all the diverse learners in the classroom. They always want to use the laptops more often. Thank you for supporting us!”
With gratitude,
Mrs. DiCorato
