Empowering Education through Access to Printer Toner and Refreshing Snacks
Funded Aug 31, 2023Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your donation. Your donation helped bring smiles to my students' faces.
They are getting college ready in this digital age, but they still feel comfortable using paper products, especially when we work on arts and craft projects. For example, we have been working on Beowulf Character Bio Posters. I wouldn't have been able to get the toner for this without your help.
Also, my students are teenagers that still love getting treats and rewards, or just a brain break with a refreshing mint or fruit snack to help keep them learning.
Not only did this make my students' learning experience in my class much more fun, this project will bring smiles to more students for years to come.
You made my classroom that much brighter.”

They may be a bit older and getting college ready, but they still enjoy using arts and crafts materials to bring what they learn through their reading to life. Students have used the materials for decorating poems they wrote in the style of Emily Dickinson, Walt Whitman, as well as an ode in the style of John Keats.
Not only did this make my students' learning experience in my class much more fun, this project will bring smiles to more students for years to come.
You made my classroom that much brighter.”

Funded Aug 9, 2018First of all, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your donation. Your donation helped bring smiles to my students' faces. Some of them can find reading and writing skills difficult to learn. However, your donation helped make their learning experience so much better.
For my intensive reading class, I have them work in rotations. One of the rotations involves vocabulary skills, which my students tend to struggle with. To make practicing their vocabulary skills more fun, I have them create a Frayer Model, which helps them create a visual graphic organizer for each word. This includes a picture showing an example of the word. They loved using the crayons and markers to decorate their Frayer Model. This detail just made their learning experience that much more fun for them.
Students in need received notebooks for their writing. They may use these pens to write their essays or just a freewrite activity. I give them pencils when they are in need or as a reward, as seen in the pictures I posted.
Again, thank you thank you thank you. A million times, thank you.
You made my classroom that much brighter.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Diaz
