Cleanliness and Full Stomachs Help Us Learn!
Funded Dec 9, 2019Your generosity for our project has left me speechless. I am beyond grateful for the support you have shown to our scholars. It is my job to ensure our scholars non-academic needs are met and your donation will ensure that I am able to meet some of their needs while they are here on campus. The items you are supplying through your donation, will allow scholars to have snacks to curb their hunger, as well as ensure their hygiene needs are being met. Good hygiene and full stomachs will help promote regular school attendance and boost our scholar’s self-esteem. Thank you again for your generosity and support.”

Funded Oct 31, 2018Thank you very much for your generosity in funding our project! What a tremendous impact your donation has had on my scholars. They were incredibly excited to receive your donation of the two iPads and protective cases. The iPads have been loaded with learning activities specifically designed to support their educational goals in literacy.
The two iPads have now become a vital part of our everyday learning schedule. I knew the activities they would be participating in would have a positive impact on reinforcing their early literacy skills. An even larger impact is in behavior reinforcement and growing independence.
With this technology in place, I am also able to utilize a small group learning structure without sacrificing academic time. We can switch seamlessly, and everyone is staying on the important task of learning. While I am working closely with a targeted group, my other students are working on the iPads. The iPads are also being used during whole group instruction and the engagement and excitement my scholars' exhibits is priceless.
Thank you again for thinking of my scholars and their learning. I'm so grateful that you chose to support this special group of second graders! The iPads are making a huge difference and we will continue building on this success.”

Funded Sep 21, 2017To each one of you, my students and I would like to express our sincerest gratitude for your generous donation to our classroom, after the devastation we experienced during Hurricane Harvey. It is wonderful to know that, so many others share my vision of helping to reach students who otherwise would not have access to technology outside of school and ensuring my students have resources to aid in their learning. The integration of the iPads in our classroom has greatly encouraged my students in wanting to read. It is amazing how eager my students are when it is their time to use the iPads during our station rotations, group activities and with their research projects.
Your donation to our classroom has impacted my students in ways that will be beneficial to them for a long time to come. Without your generosity in the wake of Harvey, my students would not have technology readily available to them. You have made an impossible situation possible by replacing what we lost when our school flooded. The iPads are allowing my students to gain exposure to different educational websites that will promote fluency, in addition to giving those who are without technology outside of the classroom the ability to have access at school. My students are utilizing the iPads during rotations, for group research projects, such as researching holiday traditions around the world.
Because of your donation a large majority of my students' reading levels has improved because of the technology in our classroom made possible by you. My struggling readers are gaining confidence with text on their individual reading levels. This is because of the generous donations from donors such as yourselves. Again, with heartfelt thanks from myself and my students, thank you bringing technology to our classroom, and for helping to bring increased reading levels and confidence to my scholars, as well as, bringing technology back after Harvey. Thank you!”

Comfortable Classroom Rug Needed for Scholars!
Funded Oct 2, 2017To each one of you, my students and I would like to express our sincerest gratitude for your generous donation to our classroom, after the devastation we experienced during Hurricane Harvey. It is wonderful to know that, so many people are willing to help my students have a comfortable area to utilize during our whole class meeting time. My students were so excited to walk into the classroom and see the rug. They all immediately wanted to go right into our meeting time. They were grateful to be able to gather on the carpet and not have to sit at their desks because there is no carpeting at our temporary location. Not only has the carpet given them somewhere to sit, it has impacted the way they treat one another, because of the generosity of donors such as you.
Your donation to our classroom has impacted my students in ways that will be beneficial to them for a long time to come. Without your generosity in the wake of Harvey, my students would not have a gathering place for our morning meetings, read alouds and to go to during independent reading time. My students are utilizing the rug daily. They constantly comment on how comfortable the rug is and wanted to know would we be taking the rug back to our home school or if we would have to leave it at this school. I have assured them that the rug would be going back to our school once we move back. It is because of your generous donation that my students do not have to sit on the floor. It is because of you that my students have a comfortable area in which to read and gather.
Because of donors like you, you have made an impact on my students that I will forever be grateful, because now our classroom is beginning to feel like home, although we are still at a temporary location. Because of you my students know that there are people who cared enough about them to help make our classroom comfortable. Because of the loss they suffered at home, it is awesome that strangers have shown kindness to them. Thank you for showing my students that there are people in this world that care about them, even though they have never seen them. We have had discussion about the kindness people show and how easy it is to spread kindness around. Not only have you shown my students kindness, you have helped teach them a lesson that, I hope, will be beneficial to them for a lifetime. This experience has impacted my students in many ways, and the number one way is how they treat and interact with one another. My students have been deeply impacted by all the assistance we have received. This is because of the generous donations from donors such as yourselves. Again, with heartfelt thanks from myself and my students, thank you bringing a comfortable sitting area to our classroom, and for helping rebuild our classroom after we lost so much, because of Harvey's devastation. We sincerely thank you for your generosity.”
