  • Hear Ye, Hear Me!

    I want to thank all of you for supporting my young learners. The students are able to access extra practice for their phonics skills, a critical component to becoming an avid reader. They really have grown this year academically, thanks in part, to your generous contribution to their classroom materials. This center is wonderful, as it allows the students to be independent while practicing new or taught skills with the verbal prompts and the dry-erase phonics boards. This is a great center, as it can be used repeatedly, with little set-up, and there's no muss or fuss when it's time to clean up...Yay!”

  • TAG! You're Reading!

    I can't thank you enough for your generous support of my students. The children were so excited when the boxes arrived right after the holidays. It was like Christmas in January! I opened the boxes with the TAG Readers and they students were cheering with joy, so excited to get new materials that enrich their developing reading skills. We were especially excited when we opened the TAG book sets to complement our classroom reading center.

    Now our reading center is engaging and more interesting than ever, thanks to the TAG Reading system. Kindergarten is not only the beginning of their scholarly journeys, it is also the time to explicitly teach students how to properly track left to right as they read, and blend the sounds in a word to read the word.

    The new reading materials will help my students develop their love of reading, while coaching them through the reading process in an independent, student-centered activity. Thanks a million!”

  • Junior Scientists Need Science Centers

    My students really enjoy the Science Centers. Thanks to your generosity, my students were able to learn more about the water cycle and simple machines with the science centers donated to my class. I feel very fortunate that there are good people in this world that dig deep in their pockets for children to have success in their educational endeavors. I'm so thrilled that Donors Choose exists so that teachers can have the opportunity to broaden the learning experiences of their students.   • The Very Book Hungry First Grader: Munch!

    I can't thank you enough for providing a class set of chapter books for my students to enjoy. We read our books every chance we get, and enjoy making bookmarks for each new book we embark on. The students really look forward to reading about the antics of Junie B. Jones, and the adventures of the children in The Magic Tree House series.
