  • Movie Lego Sets for New Display Case!

    Funded Feb 24, 2025

On behalf on DHSTVmedia, we want to express our greatest gratitude for your donation . These legos have allowed our club members to get creative and us to display their hard work. Many students love the legos so much that they will come to class to build them every chance they get.

Again, we thank you very much for your gracious donations. Your donations have helped us to expand our creativity. When we aren't perticipating in media productions for our school, students always love building the legos. These sets look amazing in our awards cabinet.”

    With gratitude,

  • External Hard Drives Needed to Backup Files

    Funded Feb 28, 2025

This very large hard drive is something we much needed in our lab! With the 22 Terabytes, we now have plenty of storage space to archive and create all of our media!

Furthermore, we will be able to add to this system since these drives are able to upgrade over time.

Most of our video media is very large in size and takes up a ton of storage space. This drive system fixes that problem. Also these drives are very fast and allow us to edit video files right off of them!

This will help our program grow as we add more capable media for students!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Perrotti

  • Recorder Needed for Media Transfers

    Funded Mar 5, 2025

This recorder is absolutely amazing! We are now able to transfer all of our old VHS tapes to digital format with ease!

The students can easily operate it since it has large buttons and menu items. It is very simple to connect to a hard drive as well since it has USBc connections on it.

We hope to finish converting all of our old tapes by the end of the school year.

Thank you so much for helping us get this much needed device so we can properly archive all of our old media in our program here at our school!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Perrotti

  • Projector Needed for Lunar New Year Chats

    Funded Jan 24, 2025

The Lunar New Year projector was a fantastic addition to our podcast chats. It provided a super bright and clear display that was easy for everyone to see. The students had the opportunity to view engaging slideshows about the Lunar New Year, which were provided through Donorschoose.org. It helped bring the celebrations to life and enriched their learning experience in a fun and interactive way.

Furthermore, we will have this projector for future programs and future class presentations on various topics.”

  • Apple Track Pad to Edit Lunar New Year Program!

    Funded Jan 24, 2025

This track pad has made the job for editing the Lunar New Program so much easier. The students are now able to look at and navigate the editing timeline with ease. It makes it so much easier to work with the computer in general!

We are using the track pad mainly as an edit control device to create our great stories for our many programs produced in our video media lab. The Lunar New Year story is being featured as part of our weekly news program hosted by the student that also produced the story on it.

She was so honored that we recognized her traditions!”

  • Furniture Needed for Our Lunar New Year Celebration!

    Funded Jan 26, 2025

For our Lunar New Year podcast episode, we revamped the set with new furniture to enhance the production. Two comfortable chairs provided a sleek, modern aesthetic, while two side tables offered both functionality and elegance, perfect for tea and equipment. Han, our set designer, chose two frames featuring festive artwork and floral prints, adding depth and a nod to the holiday. This thoughtful transformation created a welcoming atmosphere, helping our podcast feel both festive and professional for our viewers.”

  • Furniture Needed for Lunar New Year Chats

    Funded Jan 22, 2025

For this Lunar New Year-themed podcast story, the furniture chosen played a key role in setting the stage for a warm, inviting atmosphere while honoring the cultural significance of the celebration. Among the standout pieces are a new sofa and matching chairs, selected to create a modern yet festive environment that mirrors the spirit of the Lunar New Year.

The new sofa is a focal point of the set, designed with comfort and style in mind. Its upholstery is a luxurious deep red velvet, symbolizing prosperity, happiness, and good fortune, all key elements of the Lunar New Year tradition. The sleek, clean lines of the sofa give it a contemporary feel, while the rich red color and subtle gold accents make it visually stunning, reminding viewers of the vibrant and lively energy that comes with the holiday. The sofa features plush cushions, which not only provide comfort for the hosts during their discussions but also create a cozy, relaxed atmosphere for the podcast's conversational format. In the spirit of celebration, gold thread embroidery is added along the edges of the cushions, subtly referencing traditional Lunar New Year symbols such as the Chinese zodiac and lucky coins.

On either side of the sofa are two newly designed chairs that complement the sofa perfectly. These chairs are smaller in size but equally stylish, with sturdy wooden frames painted in a dark mahogany finish. The chairs' seats and backs are upholstered in a rich leather fabric, just like the sofa, ensuring a cohesive look across the entire seating area. These subtle yet meaningful touches add layers of depth and tradition to the set, inviting viewers to learn more about the holiday's symbols.

The arrangement of the sofa and chairs is carefully planned to create an intimate yet visually engaging conversation space. The chairs are angled slightly inward, inviting the hosts to sit close together and engage with each other and the audience. This setup fosters a comfortable, welcoming vibe that encourages discussion and storytelling, key components of the podcast format. Additionally, the layout allows for a sense of openness, making it easy for the audience to feel connected to the conversation as if they were part of the discussion themselves.

In this set design, the new sofa and chairs are not just functional seating pieces; they are an integral part of the overall aesthetic, helping to convey the joy, warmth, and cultural richness of the Lunar New Year. The combination of traditional colors, modern design, and thoughtful details allows the furniture to both anchor the space and create a memorable, celebratory environment for the podcast's story.”

This spotlight has worked great for our new program on the Lunar New Year!

We have featured a special story on it with our very own World Language teacher, Dr. Lee.

  • Lab Furniture Needed

    Funded Dec 31, 2024

This furniture has been amazing! The students love using the tables with their chromebooks for projects they are working on in our lab! The tables are very sturdy and durable and can be moved out of the way when needed.

Sometimes our students work in small groups and these tables are ideal for that. We want to encourage the students to work together and the tables enable for that. We hope to have some great projects come from the use of all our new furniture. We also hope to encourage more students to take our classes!”

These Tally Lights are super easy to use and they help our productions greatly! We used them on our latest production for E-sports and they worked out great.

We need professional lighting for our student-produced TV programs. We produce these on a weekly basis and are in need of lighting equipment which we do not currently have. We need a few on-camera LED lights that would really help our production quality. Good lighting equals better video. Our program airs on Youtube as well as the community cable station. We have a large audience base and we are growing our outreach. Therefore we need upgraded equipment. With new on-camera lights, our broadcasts will be more professional with better quality images. Our interviews will look more professional as well. The students will learn proper lighting techniques and they will be able to create better-looking video packages.
