I teach at a K-6 elementary school that currently has 499 students enrolled. We have a diverse population who all receive free breakfast, lunch and snack every day. 25% of our students take home a food backpack from the school every weekend. Some of our children do not even have the means to purchase items that are essential for school, such as clothing, coats, shoes and basic supplies, so we try to supply what we can at the school. We strive to reach all children and to have a safe and healthy learning environment.
