  • Supplies to Start the Year Off Right

    Funded Aug 30, 2024

Thank you so much for ensuring that my students have the supplies that they need to begin this school year on the right foot. We have created student portfolios and in progress work stations to showcase our learning this year.

The decorations have made a huge difference in student morale when in the classroom and have helped to improve the overall look of our 70 year old school.

My students are loving the access they have to fidgets during class and the cell phones have become significantly less difficult to manage as a result.

There are no words to describe how much the continued generosity of this community means to me and my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Stratton

  • Supporting Calm Minds, Supporting Science Education

    Funded Aug 12, 2024

Thank you so much for supporting my classroom with these supplies to create a calm learning environment for my students. The calming corner and device charging space that has been created has definitely impacted my students sense of comfort and belonging while in my classroom. This impact is most felt during advisory where students can come to class and center themselves for the day with a snack and a quiet space. Students are using this time to collaborate on work, finish assignments, and engage in positive interactions with their peers.”

    Mrs. Stratton

  • Help Us Charge Student Learning

    Funded Apr 22, 2024

Thank you so much for your continued support of my classroom. The additional chargers have pretty much eliminated the distractions that cell phones cause in the classroom. They have also provided a place for students to charge their chromebooks when not in use so that they are prepared for their classes later in the day.

This project has made a profound difference in my classroom and for my students. 2 of the Charging Stations have also been placed in the Counselors offices for students who need a secure place to keep devices during physical education or on school trip days.

Your continued support has been integral in my success as a classroom teacher and I am forever grateful.”

  • Fidgeting Away the Cell Phone

    Funded Oct 3, 2023

Thank you for providing these fidget toys for my students. They are really making a difference in the use of cell phones in my classroom. Students are actually very upset on days when I have the fidgets put away or forget them in my office. They have become a sources of comfort in our classroom environment. Students have been putting the tactile stickers to good use on the edge of their school issued laptops which has also been having an impact when they transition out of my classroom and into their other spaces. Thank you for making a difference in my students's school experience.”

  • Connections to Keep Students Connected

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

Thank you so much for providing We Connect cards for my students. We have been using them to supplement our Community Meetings and Peer Group Connection program. These questions provide low-stakes entry points for students to join in a conversation and classroom discussions.

Teachers have also used these connection cards in our Outward Bound program to support students in building connections and expanding their comfort zones so that they can conquer challenges on the ropes courses. Student relationships with each other and with staff are the backbone of teaching and these cards provide icebreakers that can be accessed by everyone.”

  • A Notebook for Every Child

    Funded Aug 8, 2021

Thank you so much for providing these notebooks for my Physical Science students. It was so refreshing to be able to give them the materials they need to be successful for the school year. I was also able to share the extra notebooks with our school counselor so that we could provide whole sets of school supplies to our most in need students. Every student in our 9th grade academy now has access to notebooks for all of their classes. While this is a simple thing, its impact knows no bounds. Students were in shock that I was willing to just hand them the supplies they needed. They even tried to pay me for the materials! I explained that this was a gesture of good will from donors like you who want to support education. They were very touched to know that there are many people, whom they will never meet, looking for ways to support them. Thank you so much for your continued support of my classroom.”

  • A Fond Farewell to Our Freshmen Students

    Funded Jul 12, 2021

While these cards did not arrive in time to be mailed to the student's homes, we made sure that they were delivered to the students in person during the first week of school. This was the first time we were able to meet these students in person and I cannot express how wonderful it was to see them back in school and to be able to present them with a card as a token of our love for them. Our school remained 100% virtual for the entire 2020-2021 school year with the exception of about 150 9th Grade Students. There were so many students that I did not have the opportunity to meet in person. These students need to be shown grace and compassion as they readjust to being in school and these cards were such a positive start to the school year. Thank you again for your generosity.”

  • Innovation Doesn't Stop Growing, Help Us Continue Our Journey

    Funded May 31, 2021

Thank you so much for your support of this project. My students are eager to get the innovation lab finished so that they can begin creating! While the area is currently still under construction we are working hard in the regular classroom to prepare for its unveiling. This vinyl cutter will allow students to create decals, merchandise, and decorations to improve our school campus, fundraise, and share their love of design with their peers. They cannot wait to pair this machine with the 3D printers and laser engravers that are also waiting to be unveiled. Your generosity continues to be a beacon of light for my students and I cannot thank you enough.”

  • Innovation Lab Sparks Inspiration for Students

    Funded Sep 25, 2020

Thank you so much for contributing to our innovation lab project. Even though this year has presented unprecedented challenges for educating students, we have remained dedicated to providing STEM opportunities to students. The students have been able to submit 3D print designs that I have been printing for them and mailing to them directly. They love the ability 3D printing has to bring their projects to life. Students are most excited to return to school and being using the Laser Engraver and CNC Machine. I have modeled the Laser Engraver for them and shared videos of it in action. They are amazed at the possibilities they are going to have. Our Robotics team is particularly excited to begin making parts for their robot. It brings me so much joy to see that my students are excited to learn, even though we are not able to interact in person at this time.”

  • What Is a Computer Without Its Charger

    Funded Jun 7, 2020

Thank you so much for providing this laptop charging cart for my students. Though we have not returned to the building to put this item to use yet, please know that once it is safe for students to return to school this cart will provide laptop accessibility to students before, during, and after school. Students will use these laptops to complete course work, college and career planning, college essays, applications and more. You have provided an opportunity for students to have reliable access to materials which will improve the overall quality of their education.”
