Maximizing STEM Learning in 3-D
Funded Dec 24, 2016As a STEM school, we are trying to integrate into the arts into the scope of learning, especially in mathematics and science. My students loved working with 3-D pens because they were able to make replicas of real-life objects and even create their own. I had the opportunity to teach mathematical concepts such as area, perimeter, and volume as we worked through the basic functions of operating of the pens. Some students had previous exposure to 3-D printing which made it easier to facilitate conversations regarding the terminology of the equipment and its properties. My students love working with the 3-Doodle pens and are forever thankful for your donation.”

Technology for STEM Classroom
Funded May 25, 2016My students are forever grateful for your contribution. We have been able to complete many STEM based activities using technology this year. What my students enjoy about the tablet the most is that they are able to work on their assignments at home, especially those individuals who do not have access to web-based technology at home. Some students have increased their math scores up to 10% through their everyday use of the tablet. There are able to get on Reasoning Minds, our online supplemental curriculum, and contribute an average of 2-3 hours weekly solving math practice problems; which prepares them for the STAAR exam.”
