The students that I teach attend a Title I school. Most of the students are receiving free and reduced price lunches. Many students do not have access to technology at home. We would love to be able to provide 21st century technology for each child that enters the lab. However I have at least 12 desktop computers that are so outdated. These computers may run very slow, freeze anytime and our system will no longer provide service for any of these computers due to the outdated age of the computers. We've managed to purchase a few hard drives and continue to use our old monitors to save money. Funds are very limited and there is not enough funds to purchase technology. We're in desperate need of any support we can get and it would be so appreciated by our students and staff alike. Our students are so excited to come to the computer lab during their resource periods and their so willing to learn! I really would love to provide the best experience for every child using technology!
