    Funded Mar 20, 2023

We appreciate all of you who have contributed to our project. We are eager to use these resources to enhance our math classes and make them more engaging for our students. We can't wait to show how the students will make use of the algebra tiles, multiplication regrouping kit, and math manipulative toolbox. Thanks to your donations, we are able to make mathematical topics more relatable.”

  • Math Tools

    Funded Feb 10, 2020

Thank you for your kind donation to our project. These tools will make the math come alive in our classrooms. We cannot wait to share with you the students using the decimal dice to play math games, using the number line to assist with adding and subtracting whole numbers, decimals and/or fractions. You are helping to bring the conceptual understanding of math alive to many of our students. Thank you!”

  • Just Press Print!

    Funded Jan 1, 2018

I would like to first start off by thanking you for your kind generous donation. Many of our students are not capable of printing at home because of the cost of owning a printer. Besides paying for the printer alone, the cost of the ink is one that many of our students and their families cannot afford. They are able to use the printer as a way to print out their research information, assignments, reports, etc.

The best part of the printer is the capability of printing in color. It helps the students to have certain things in color for they can emphasize certain information. This especially helps student who need things in print to be differentiated. The students can print from any device because the printer has a air print capability.

The students are extremely happy we were able to replace our non-function printer with a new a function printer. Thank you so much once again for your help in funding our new printer. You definitely have made their printing issues no longer an issue.”

  • White Boards Needed!

    Funded Dec 13, 2016

We want to thank everyone for donating to our white board project. The students where super excited when they first saw the boxes delivered into the classroom. Once the boards were placed on the wall the excitement just escalated. They were all so eager to come up and work out a math problem. It definitely has increased classroom participation.

When the boards where installed it was the perfect timing. We had just started our equations and inequality unit. The students really got to see every little step that it took to solve an equation and inequality. With the new boards placed on both sides of the classroom there is enough space for many students to come up to the board to share out their work. By having the students coming up to share out their work, the students are able to provide feedback to their peers. This helped students to identify their mistakes in their work. They have been able to view work from a different perspective and approach. It has boosted my students confidence as well when sharing out.

Once again thank you to all who have donated. We are super excited about the boards. They have truly served as such a great resource for my students to share and learn from one another. Thank you!”

  • Helping Students Strive in Math!

    Funded Dec 10, 2014

I would like to start off by first thanking you for your generous donation. My class was very excited that our project was funded.

Since we have received the easel it has been greatly used. I have been using the easel to conduct small group instructions. Sometimes groups struggle with a problem so we use the easel to share out strategies and steps that need to be taken to solve the problem. When we have a class discussion we jot down answers. We use it to create charts with certain math skills/concepts that the students thought of to place on the wall in the classroom for reference if needed. I have also used the easel to be able to work with students one on one to help them with a problem. To conduct a mini lesson for the student(s) that were absent from the day before. I have been able to work with a group of students who are above grade level to challenge their math skills. The students absolutely love the easel. Its light and easy for them to move it around the room to use for their group discussion.

Once again thank you for your kind donation. You have made a difference in our classroom.”

  • Take a Leap and Help Challenge the Minds of Our Youth!

    Funded Jun 5, 2013

Thank you to everyone that donated to our class iPad. We have been using the iPad in the classroom and it is been amazing. The students have been working on numerous math apps such as the following: Middle School Math Pro which the students have used so far for practicing their integer math skills. As they move from question to question they become more challenging to answer. They also have been using the iTooch Middle School math grade 7 app which as well provides challenging questions for the students to answer. Students are also using the iPad to work on different math programs on-line such as mobymax.

The iPad not only provides many apps to build and practice their math skills but it motivates them to want to work on math problems. It's provides another way for students to practice their skills without just using the traditional paper, book and pencil approach. The apps are very engaging and challenges them to a higher level. The apps deliver the math questions in a game like format that they want to win. The students work really hard on answering the questions correctly. If they answer a question incorrectly they get immediate feedback on how to solve a problem the problem correctly.

Thank you once again for helping to make it possible for my students to be able to have this opportunity to work with many of these apps. They truly enjoy it and I know they are also benefiting from this academically.”

  • Help Capture the Moment

    Funded Dec 21, 2009

Thank you so much for your very kind donation towards our new camera for our yearbook. You really have helped make the memories of our students more special.

Over the past two and half years the cameras the students have used were not the most reliable. The qualities of the images were extremely poor. There were pictures that were so blurry and dark. No matter how many times the students have adjusted the settings on the camera and stayed stilled to take pictures they were very blurry and dark. The cameras would shut off sometimes even though the batteries have been replaced.

With our new camera we have been able to capture very special moments at our school. For example, we able to take many pictures of our students and parents celebrating "Multicultural Celebration" day. We caught the students in action dancing and singing. We have used the camera to capture our volleyball and hockey team in action during practices and games. These are memories our students especially our senior class will take with them. All of these pictures will be of happy memories that our students can look back and remember their year at our school.

Once again thank you for contributing to our project and we will always be extremely thankful.

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Demiri

  • Desperate Need of an AV Cart

    Funded Sep 17, 2009

We are extremely grateful for your very generous donation to our classroom. Your donation has helped us in many ways. With our audiovisual cart we now have a place to lock and store our equipment knowing that it is in a safe place for no one to do any harm. The cart has electrical outlets, which has helped reduce the wires on the floor, which has lead to less tripping over the cables and causing damage to the equipment. Having the equipment in a centralized place has reduced our time to set up the equipment. Having the equipment stored on the cart has freed up more desk space for the students to do their work. These improvements might seem small to some people, but in our classroom you have tremendously helped us become more efficient and organized.

Once again THANK YOU for your very kind donation. ”
