Currently they are being used to hold our wind turbines for our energy conversions unit. We made turbines our of paper plates, pencils, push pins, popsicle sticks and tape.
Students were excited to see the bright color bins as they have added a POP of color to our science room.
Moving forward, we plan to use the bins to hold other exciting STEM projects and materials in connection to our Modeling Matter unit, Earth's Features and, Earth System Units.”

Funded Sep 12, 2022Thank you so much for you donations to our class library. We have been so excited to use all the materials that were delivered. The bookmarks are helping us keep track of where we left off in our books. We have been able to use the book organizer to display and add more books to our library collection. The sticky notes have been useful when modeling reading strategies that we practice during independent reading time. The trash can and waste basket have been very helping in keeping our library clean and gives us a place to throw out our post-its when we are done.”

Funded Jan 25, 2022My students have been so enthusiastic about the need materials they have for our class clam corner. With the calm corner being a staple in our classroom material tend to get used and worn rather quickly, so when going to the clam corner students a enjoy when there is a new item.
When they first heard we were getting these materials they were ecstatic.Due to your generosity we are even able to use some of the fidgets at students individual desks.
As we continue finish out the year, our goal is to create our own class fidgets based on what we have seen fidgets look and feel like. That way students are able to create their own self regulating tools for the future.”

Safety First!
Funded Dec 31, 2021Thank you so much for all your donations towards our health and safety supplies for our class this year. First and foremost Lysol wipes have been essential this year. Daily cleaning of our desks and shared class materials have become part of our classroom practices.
In addition, the bandaids and the ice packs have been very helpful when it comes to students safety. For our very active students, ice packs and band aids are needed daily. Instead of leaving the classroom and missing instruction students now have access to these materials right in our own classroom!”

Funded Dec 28, 2021Thank you so much for donating a projector to our classroom. With this resource have been able to create many charts for my classroom that students use on a daily basis. These charts help scaffold student learning and support and remind them of the things we have learned together. Student were also excited that for some lessons we are able to move around and change our seats during our learning time, because the projector allows for flexibility and movement of student spots.
The multi-color pens have also been a great asset during our writing units. Students have been able to revise and edit their own writing. I have also been able to use them to give students feedback on their work and help them grow!”

Funded May 4, 2021Thank you so much for providing these outdoor materials for the students at our school. When the students first saw the hula-hoops, jump-ropes. cones, rings, and bean bags they couldn't contain their excitement. Each day at recess students couldn't wait to use these materials. What is truly amazing, is all the creative ways they have come up with to make sure they maintain social distancing while at recess! Funded Jan 19, 2021The students and I are very grateful for your donation that allowed us to have a brand new air purifier for our classroom. Not only will this help filter our dust and allergens but it also will rid the air of other germs. When the students first saw the box that the purifier came in they were unsure of what it was or what it wold be used for. After a discussion they were excited and thought that it was something amazing!
As we continue to move through the year with in-person learning these materials will be a great asset in keeping us all healthy.”

A Technology Treat!
Funded Oct 3, 2020Students are very excited about all the new technology we have in our classroom. The powerpoint pointer allows me to move around the room while maintaining social distance to help all students while continuing to move forward with the lesson. The document camera while used in the classroom is also especially beneficial for students on our remote learning days. While we are all at home, students are able to see me demonstrate how to solve complex math problems using pencil and paper like they would be doing at home. Modeling similarly to what the students will be doing, allows them to practice skills efficiently. Lastly, the laminator allows me to provided students with dry erase whiteboard, where students can complete problem solving tasks and participate in quick checks. They also use them during their mindfulness activities such as quiet time.”
