  • Get Our Art Off the Floor

    My first-graders were beyond thrilled to receive the Donors Choose delivery containing our new drying rack! I wasn't sure that they'd be as excited by the contents of the box as I would be, but they couldn't contain themselves.

    We had been working on some paintings and they were scattered all over my classroom drying. In a matter of minutes, I had the surfaces of my classroom back and a drying rack filled neatly with beautiful art. The drying rack is used by the students independently to protect their projects.

    This simple organizational tool has opened the door to more art in my classroom. Having a safe, organized way to dry students' art has allowed me to integrate more art into my curriculum, as I don't have to worry about the logistics of what to do with the art when we need to move on to the next activity.”

  • Professional Artists: Ages 6-7

    I am so grateful for your generous support of this project! The materials you funded, will give all the first-graders at our school a chance to be professional artists. The art they create will last forever, as will the pride they feel from creating it.

    We have opportunities for art in the classroom, but rarely do we have the opportunity to use high-quality materials that would allow the art to last past hanging in our classroom or on a fridge for a few weeks.

    We have started digging in to use these amazing materials! The pastels have been used for 3 projects already and we have created a canvas texture study using acrylics!!”
