Color Toner
Funded Apr 18, 2023Thank you so much for your generous donation to our classroom. Because of your support, we are able to learn with beautiful, color printed copies, rather than boring black and white copies. So much of what we learn in early childhood is more meaningful when it is vibrant and colorful. Color helps us memorize certain information by increasing our attentional level. And, the more attention a student dedicates to particular stimuli, the better chance they'll remember that stimuli. That information is then transferred to short-term and long-term memories, thus increasing their chance of memorizing such information. So thank you, for coloring our world!”

Funded Dec 19, 2021Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom! I am overwhelmed by your generosity and cannot wait to share the good news with my students. What a wonderful way to begin a new year.
This new, larger mobile whiteboard will provide an area for us to work more efficiently by providing a large area to display work, write notes, share ideas, and hang reference material for lessons. We currently have a small vertical board that does not have much surface area, making it challenging to display everything that we need to display in our busy, active classroom.
I cannot wait to receive the whiteboard and get it setup and begin using it. It will really make a positive difference in our daily learning. Thank you, again!”

Funded Sep 27, 2019Thanks to your generosity, we now have a functioning and lovely whiteboard/flip chart paper holder. It's on wheels, so it moves easily around our classroom so that students can view the information on the board with ease.
Prior to receiving the new board, we had a very old board that was quite a hazard in the classroom. It was so old that it no longer functioned properly. The slightest bit of pressure or movement would cause the board to collapse and sometimes fall right over. Often times, kids would have to jump out of the way to avoid being hit and/or hurt.
Also, the paper that we got has a sticky backing, so we can easily display on walls around the room once we've created an anchor chart that we want to continue to refer to.
Thank you for helping to make our classroom more functional and safe!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Rich
Color Our World!
Funded Aug 5, 2018Thank you SO much for generously contributing to our project. Because of you, we received a beautiful COLOR printer and some extra toner. It has made such a difference in the level of engagement in our classroom because, let's face it, we all prefer to look at things in beautiful full color vs. plain old black and white.
Some direct quotes from my Second Grade students:
"I don't like the grey pictures because you can't really see them."
"You can see them more better in color."
"You can actually see more details with the colored printouts."
"There is blue and red in this picture, and I want to use it because those are my favorite colors."
"The colored pictures look more real. The black and white don't look real. They kind of look like statues."
"The colored pictures are easier for me to work with. And they're more fun!"
"Colors make everything better!!"
Our inner-city classroom has children from many different backgrounds, including students with special needs, students who have been displaced from their homes in other countries, students who are living in poverty, students who are homeless, and students who are orphaned. With so many challenges in their daily lives, when these kids come to school, they are looking for a safe and fun place to learn. They deserve the best, and with your help, they're getting the best! Thank you, again!”

Ms. Rich
