  • Counting on With Money

    Funded Sep 13, 2018

The best part of completing a project, has got to be the student's faces when I bring the new boxes into the classroom. It is a wonderful feeling to see the happiness on their faces. The magnetic money was a great find. The students were able to see both sides clearly which helped them learn the differences between the coins. The puzzles were a great way to teach the students equivalent sums of money. By doing it in a fun, interactive way we are able to teach them without them even realizing it!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Greene

  • Classroom Economy

    Funded Apr 24, 2018

Thank you so much for this kind and generous donation. We appreciate your generous donation which made this project a possibility, The students earn money weekly. This money is saved and then spent on various classroom treasures. They love spending their money on the treasure box. Learning how to save for future use is such a valuable objective to learn at this age. Financial literacy is so important. For my students to learn how to save and count money will make them valuable citizens to our country.”

  • Learning to Code

    Funded Apr 16, 2018

My students love technology. I told them we were getting a new robot they became so excited. They loved it so much. I had two of my female students teach the procedures for the robots to the other students. They were so excited to be the teacher. Before we knew it we were using Botley to learn coding. They couldn't get enough. Again, thank you for this kind and generous donation which had made this project a reality. The students beg me every day to be able to use this robot. They are so excited.”

  • Learning How To Earn

    Funded Mar 31, 2018

My students absolutely love the money puzzles that we received through this project. They have been using it and working together to solve the problems. They love being able to work and talk together. It is so much more engaging then a worksheet. Thank you so much for believing and donating to this project. My students are always amazed that people we have never met care so much about our education and their future. Your kindness is seen everyday as I watch my students work together and learn together.”

  • Magnetic Reading

    Funded Mar 24, 2018

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful donation. The magnetic letters have been a big hit in my classroom. The kids love seeing and using them. They were so excited when they got to break the letters apart and organize them on their very own tray. We so appreciate this kind and thoughtful gesture. They love using them every day during reading time. Before, only a few students got to go up and make words. Thanks to you, everyone now enjoys this privilege, and they love it. They ask to use the letters during recess!”

    Mrs. Greene

  • Learning About Bugs

    Funded Mar 28, 2018

Insects are always an interesting topic to a first grader. The nonfiction books were ideal in teaching them the characteristics of various insects. Eric Carle books were fiction, but it taught the students many things about insects. They learned about how various insects looked, what they like to do, and what they like to eat. Eric Carle books are always a hit with the students. Thank you so much for this kind and generous donation. The books were a gigantic hit in my classroom. They love them!”

  • Reading About Money

    Funded Mar 31, 2018

Thank you so much for making this project a reality. The students love to read. They especially love these books because they are learning about money. Alexander is always a favorite, especially since it is a sequel to a terrible, horrible, no good very bad day. The other books are the perfect way to teach this subject matter in a fun, interesting way. They love to read the books to each other and I often hear them counting the money they see in every book. It is very exciting to see them so into their learning.”

  • Magnetic Reading Part 2

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

I put up this project the day before Ripple funded everyone. I could not believe my good luck!

The students could not believe their good luck. It took awhile to get all the magnet letters out and on cookie trays. Then we had to set them up the Fundations way. Thank goodness I had some help. They were so excited when each of them got their own tray. Thank you so much for this generous donation. It means the world to us that every student gets their own tray of magnetic letters. They have been used daily.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Greene

  • Creating Our Own Bugs!

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

The kids were so excited when they saw the boxes. They got even more excited when they got to open the boxes. They loved the insect learning center and the different types of classification they were able to do in this center. The bug identification center was even more of a hit, especially when they were able to use our magnifying glasses to identify the different bugs.

They were able to create their own bugs with the clay. The books helped them create their own bugs. Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity.”

  • Active Learning With Dry Erase Boards

    Funded Mar 13, 2018

Thank you for donating to this project. Our dry erase boards were being used daily and needed to be replaced badly. The students were so excited when we got these new boards. They

especially loved how heavy the boards felt as they wrote. The lines were a big help also, most are not able to write straight yet and the lines helped them stay on the straight and narrow.

They love opening the boxes and seeing the new products we have received. It is really motivating them to practice and improve their handwriting.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Greene
