Art and Learning
Funded Mar 25, 2025Amazing and incredible. Thank you for donation to my project and helping my students with supplies to create great after and focus on learning. Some students are amazed to be given crayons and pencils that these items are going to excitement them. Each year I try to find a unique way to connect learning with my students. This year's group of 3rd graders have struggled with math, reading and writing. With these new supplies, I will be able to creatively find ways to connect content with art and SEL.”

Funded Feb 7, 2025The students are so very excited to have some new fidgets to help them focus and learn. They all wanted to try each one out. When I told them that someone they didn't know donated money to help us buy these new tools, they couldn't believe it.
These new sensory tools already have had a positive impact on students that would typically not received sensory tools. Being able to use a fidget to help them focus while sitting and listening to a teacher is a huge help. The playing with markers or paper has stopped and now they have fun, useful fidgets to manage their busy bodies.

Books for Now!
Funded Nov 23, 2024Today I shared with my students that new books we received through the generous donations. They students were practically begging to get a chance to be the first to read each book. Even the few students I have that don't always enjoy reading, were asking me if they could read one of the books.
The impact that new, exciting books can have on students who are improving their reading is huge! I am so excited for my students to have a chance to read some books that they might not have been able to without your donation. Thank you so much for empowering my students and giving them a chance to explore and improve.”

Breath In, Breath Out
Funded Jan 26, 2024Thank you for donating to my project. The students were amazed by the generosity of people that don't even know them. They have been enjoying the fidgets and calming tools as well as the new books. We have created a fun art project to celebrate Black History Month that we were able to display in the hallway.
I always feel blessed when a person in our community or outside our community chooses to help the students in my class. They feel that love and it gives them a little extra boost of confidences to keep working hard. The small items that are purchases for the students is just a piece of the gift. It really is the love and support they feel that is truly the real donation.”

Class Library Improvement Project
Funded Mar 14, 2023Every time a box arrived, the student's faces would light up. They would ask, "what's in that box?" It is always a special treat of mine to see the expressions and hear the joy in the classroom when new materials arrive. The books that came this week were books that continued series that students were reading and started new series that they were interested in reading. Students begged to be the first to read this book and that book. I had students with 3 or 4 books on their desk at a time just wanting to read. That was my goal. Having students excited about reading and wanting to read one book to be able to read the next one.
Thanks you donors for bringing a buzz back to my room during the later part of the school year. Our class is actively reading and excited about learning.”

We Love Reading
Funded Dec 16, 2022This was a huge surprise to my class. The students were so excited to get two new book series that connected to our reading curriculum this year. They were excited to read more about these characters that we got a taste of at the first part of the year. They rushed to the class library to start reading each book. Pure excitement classwide.
During our Reading time this year, we started a new curriculum with more current stories. Unfortunately, this was just a short part of these stories that we focused on. So now that we have the whole book and many more in the series. Students will be able to read them during our read to self time.

Funded Apr 12, 2022Wow, last year was a huge blessing to have these great books and supplies. We did a whole class reading of Winn-Dixie and they students loved it. Each student had their own, new book to read and enjoy this story. Your impact cannot be stated simply in words but could be seen by the joy on the faces of my students. A lot of our books are found online or in digital format. To have a hard copy of the book that each kid could follow along with and read, was amazing. Thank you so much for donating to my project and providing that for my class.”

Graphic Novels
Funded Jan 10, 2022It always amazes me at the generosity of people. Thank you to all the donors that contributed to my project. The class has been tearing through each one of these books and there is a huge wait line.
There have been two girls that have had their struggles with reading this year. They both have been hiding their books and reading during other subjects just out of a love for reading. I talked to them and they told me, "I love these new books!" Now, that is what it's all about and thanks to all of you, this has become possible.”

Funded Nov 5, 2021When I showed all the amazing graphic novels to my class, they were so very excited. They all raised their hands wanting to be the first to read the new "Dog Man" book and the new "My Life as A Youtuber" book. They were shocked at the amount of new book options we have in our class library. I had noticed that students were grab books from the class library and returning them soon after. Now with this new selection of current graphic novels, the students are keeping their books for much longer. They are all wanting to finish the book and are asking who has different books. It has really brought the love for reading back to the class.”
