  • Sensory Play for Preschoolers with Autism

    Funded Oct 18, 2024

Thank you so much for the generous donations! These items will have a positive impact on my preschoolers with autism. Thank you for your kindness! My students and I are so excited to receive these items! I can't wait to share pictures of them using all these wonderful materials.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Conocchioli

  • It's a Beautiful Day for Learning!

    Funded May 18, 2016

The listening center and book sets are a great addition to our classroom. The students are enjoying them immensely. Having the listening center and sets of books has enhanced our classroom literacy program.

Many of my students are struggling readers. Fluency is a big part of becoming an independent reader. Fluent readers have stronger comprehension skills. Using the listening center has helped improved my students fluency. They are able to independently listen to fluent readers and practice reading while they listen. My students have also gained access to books and materials they might not be able to read on their own. My students are always excited to go to the listening center.

Thank you for your donation! My students and I greatly appreciate it.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Conocchioli

  • Social Skills for Children with Special Needs

    Funded Jul 24, 2015

The " You are a Social Detective!" software program has had a positive impact on my students. The students use the program in a small group or individual basis. This program teaches my students to use their social smarts to navigate their social environment.

Many children with special needs have difficulty in social situations. Students have a more positive school experience when they are able to navigate social situations.

This program has helped many of my students improve their social skills. This program allows students or a small group to work at their own pace and learn expected and unexpected behavior, identifying other's emotions and feelings and making predictions.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Conocchioli
