Oh, Oh, Oh, It's Magic!
Funded Jan 6, 2023My students were excited in helping me unpack and unwrap the Magic Boards. We started working with them on day one. The boards will be used during independent and guided centers. We have quite a few students that struggle with correct letter and number formation. It is a task they find tedious and boring. Your donation has made this task fun for the students. The daily use of magic boards will help our students with improving their handwriting skills. The continued support of donors to teacher projects will ensure the success of future projects.”

Funded Mar 6, 2020First, we want to say thank you for funding out project. Bob Books and Versa Tiles work in building foundational for our students. Not only can they be used during small group instruction, they can be used during independent learning.
With Covid-19 being a priority, we have had to include distance learning for a majority of our students. Our funded project is currently being used during my inclusion classes during independent learning.
My virtual students are also enjoying the Versa Tiles when sharing the activity using the classroom document camera.”

Funded Jan 2, 2020Thank you for supporting our classroom. Seeing our project funded was truly unexpected. My students needed the Alphabet Learning Locks and Alphabet Beads for letter recognition and high frequency words practice. They were so excited and couldn't wait to start using the activities in class. My students are also very happy to see that they have extra pencils to get them through the remainder of this school year. Please know that your generosity is appreciated and helps makes our classroom successful!”

Funded Nov 20, 2018Our STEAM designated school challenges our students on every level. With the use of new and updated technology, our students are becoming more competitive with their peers - nation and world-wide. Our classroom is trying acquire a set of 4-iPads to create a center for coding and other STEAM or STEM related activities. With this donation we are more than half-way in achieving our goal for an iPad center. The addition of the keypad makes it more comfortable for smaller hands and the touchscreen makes more exciting. Our students with disabilities really appreciate the ease of using touch screen technology. We appreciate the consideration in choosing our project for a donation. With the amazing technology behind this project, this center will be able to be used by our students for year to come. We thank you so very much for the thought and consideration to our project.”

The Apple Of My iClassroom - S.T.E.A.M.
Funded Mar 27, 2018My students and I want to sincerely thank you for your donation to our classroom. The Apple iPad Pro will make a significant impact in student motivation and academic independence. Our school district currently provides numerous online resources that reinforce our curriculum. The convenience and ease of using an iPad will make learning fun. Using this touchscreen technology also allows for flexible seating areas for those students that find the regular classroom seating area restrictive. We are starting our coding project this week. I hope to acquire 2 more iPad Pros to expand this project so that our students are able to utilize the coding program in a group. Again, we thank you for your kind donation.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Ripple. We're Making Learning Fun Again!
Funded Mar 27, 2018Our students were so excited to receive all the amazing file folder games. We started using them the moment I got them into the classroom. These file folder games take the stress off our students and help reinforce the skills and strategies they are learning in our classrooms.
They will be used in classroom centers, teacher small group learning and even use as a home learning activity.
Today, after completing a lesson on animal classification, our students were working in groups using the animal classification file folder game. It was exactly what we covered in class and the file folder game was a reinforcement of the lesson.
As I stated in my project, the file folder games can be shared with other teachers in our deaf/hard of hearing program and with any of my future students for years to come.”

Funded Oct 2, 2017The use of updated technology and especially different types of technology helps keep our students current with technological changes. Coding is the "new thing" for our students and we can now bring it to life for our primary students from Kindergarten to 3rd grade. With our new MacBook Air laptop and possible future funding of 2 iPads, the Apple Swift coding program will be up and running in our new "Student CODING Center".
The students are truly enjoying the ease and simplicity of being able to use the laptop at their size appropriate desks. They are so excited and appreciative and so am I.
All our students were sooooo excited when I showed them the student centered activity I am trying to bring to life in our classroom. Once our 3 part project is completely funded, there will be no stopping these students. They are "The Future Coders of America!"”

Hear Ye! Hear Ye! For Classroom Technology
Funded Oct 13, 2016First, I want to begin by saying "THANK YOU". We appreciate your donation to our classroom. Currently, my students are using the touchscreen laptop as an independent reading center. My students can stay at their desks to use the laptop or for my students that prefer non-traditional seating, they can take the laptop to the classroom carpet and use it as a tablet. This they enjoy immensely.
When I went, with my students, to collect the laptop from our mail room, I did not tell them what was inside the box so they were not expecting anything. However, when we went back to class and I opened the box and the laptop appeared, there were "oohs" and "aahs" and "is that for us?" And the excitement began.
My intention was not to only bring new technology to our classroom, but to motivate my students to want to read and encourage independent learning with district approved online resources. The use of the touchscreen is not only more fun for my students, but helps those students that struggle with using a computer mouse. The more comfortable my students become with current technology the more prepared they will be for online testing and more so, ready for a competitive future in technology.”

Ms. Chassagne
Hear Ye, Hear Ye! We Are Creating Centers In Our Classroom!
Funded Oct 21, 2015First and foremost, my students and I want to say thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! We are so very happy with the opportunities you have provided our classroom with your donation. The importance of differentiated centers in the classroom allows me to create, print and laminate with minimal cost. I will be able to create specific "take and go" learning activities in the academic areas that challenge my students. I took pictures of the first activity created for science. Making the activities visually appealing is important in the primary grades and more so for our students with a hearing loss. When I gave my students the laptop to use they were thrilled with the new technology. However, when I showed them that it was touchscreen laptop, they were giggling and jumping with excitement. They all wanted to use it at the same time. Of course they will have to take turns. This technology makes learning fun for my students. With the growing importance of touchscreen technology as a form of communication for deaf and hard of hearing students, my students will have a head start. You have brought 21st century touchscreen technology to our classroom.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Chassagne
